Right now, SV2 really does feel like a gacha game masquerading as a TCG. Spending 15 minutes going back and forth against your opponent only to get railroaded once they draw their legendary, or you do the same to him, is boring as fuck. The reality is that the packs costs 500g because the whole economy was reworked. And people didn't bother checking around if they were actually getting less stuff. The kneejerk reaction was to immediately reviewbomb.

Now 1 week later people realized that you get overall more free shit from playing than before and the whole pack pricing issue was completely overblown past any reason.
But of course, f2poor beggars aren't going to go back and change their reviewbomb score unless the company gives compensation. Which the company didn't give out or even acknowledge the reviewbomb score because they know people are fucking stupid.

The problem is the economy, but it's not the 500g packs. It's the absoulely insulting PITTANCE of vials that you get from destroying uneeded cards combined with the fact that the game only lets you vial stuff if you already have a playset. A sizeable percentage of vials that people got from the first game came from destroying random singleton copies of legendary rarity cards from archetypes that they didn't even play. Because of this, building decks DRAMATICALLY depends on getting lucky and pulling precisely the legendary cards that you need for a deck from packs and chests because it is extremely inefficient to dispose of unneeded cards to craft them.

There are braindead retards in this thread that are saying "economy is fine, I have a deck right now". But that's due to the influx of honeymooon period new player gifts that they've showered people with. Anyone else feel like games are exponentially harder when the Asian hours hit? I was playing super aggro and winning almost every game on artifact portal earlier, and now I'm just getting punished for it every game, and got demoted trying to farm chests quickly.

But Hearthstone died hard 2 years after it's launch for a good reason. The gimmick of being able to play a digital tcg wore off and people quit in droves.

If they're not running cocytus then you might be able to outlast them and clear through all of their kuons if you keep using healing to stay out of death range of kuon's big dick shikigami, but you're probably going to lose if they start D-climbing through the cocytus deck.
