If you're sick of evergaols and you're a melee class, give Improved Initial Standard Attack a try. Each one is a 1.13 multiplier, and it stacks with itself multiplicatively, so with 3 of them that's over 40% more damage for your Neutral R1. The new base damage of the attack ends up being something like 25% more damage than a jumping attack from the same weapon. Another weird thing is that it works on powerstanced L1s, changing your most optimal move from the Jump L1 to the Neutral L1. Could be a solid replacement for the Evergaol damage bonus on melee classes if you want to do a route with fewer Evergaols, although it does demand 3 relic spots instead of just 1. Alternatively, it can also stack with the other meta damage choices if you get the right relic; going from 200 damage to 250 is a huge bump when you start adding things like the Evergaol bonus damage or the bonus damage from things like Attack Up On Damage Taken and its Raider variant. Everything is multiplicative. Sad part is that Jump Attacks can get boosts from Jump Damage weapon passives and they have access to the Claw Talisman, but Initial L1 can still benefit from raw damage boosts from weapon passives and isn't reliant on an RNG talisman to reach its potential.

If Radagon and Marika were separate entities, nothing about the story changes - Radagon's need to perfect himself is not contingent on having been an aspect of Marika or vice versa, a man himself can seek perfection. Godfrey was Godfrey so he would be civilized enough for Marika, but the only thing it really does is give us a neat two phase boss fight.

Characters don't react to anything in the dlc, when previous games in the series do have characters react to the dlc.

The Scadutree is a powerful image that is almost always visible in the Land of Shadow, but only one person mentions it, Hornsent, and Enir Ilim ends up being more important. Enir Ilim being more important is fine, but the Scadutree shouldn't have been a thing if it wasn't going to be involved in any way. It's overflowing with sap, right? Erdtree sap is used to create miracles, talismans, to bestow power. Why isn't anyone fighting over the Scadutree sap? Is it poisonous? We don't know. Nobody talks about it.

It goes on man. Elden Ring just isn't what I wanted it to be. All their other games are very satisfying storywise, thematically, and characterwise. I'm not needlessly shitting on it, I like Elden Ring. But when I think of replaying it, I remember how vacuous it all is

Parrying is very, very strong at low levels especially when solo. It only becomes worthless near the end where you should be status man.
Sun catcher is also stronger than your base katana from levels 3-6 so you’re best getting status off (frost or poison) and then parrying or just using suncatcher to deal damage

3 staffs or seals can reliably be gotten in the first few spots and then you instantly have a huge fp pool which is nice.

but i dont enjoy casting as duchess enough to go for it and once you pickup staffs you get even more. i really noticed loot weighing today. usually i end the game with 4+ daggers if i pick up 2 staffs early i get nothing else.

Hope new classes will go all the way to be gimmick users, instead of half assed like revenant, who's spirits just don't have enough hp

Pay off the curse and you get Libra's favor. More damage the more runes you own. That then makes any deal you take with Libra after free, there's no downside. THEN you can piss him off and kill him for a lot of runes and a talisman orb.

He has his moments of brevity. The two times I did it before was because he was entering his charge up that you needed to break with lightning.

The third time was when he had a 1/3 of his HP left and chilled out after dropping his nuke to do standard sweep attacks, he has a stomp that leaves him still for about 3-4 seconds so you can get in a lot of status if you're quick.

OP spells would be comet (best spell in the game imo), stars of ruin, rennala's full moon, collapsing stars, carian piercer, loretta's mastery, so pretty much any spell that either shoots fast or just hits like a train
comet azur is a meme, and very rarely can be used on nightlords as they move around a lot, but still it is high dps
admittedly I don't use many incants on her because I prefer leaving good seals for my revenant daugther-wives, but good incants would be honed bolt, black blade, flame fall upon them, stone of gurranq, frenzied burst and lightning spear
as for cocktails, I gravitate towards not using them after I find a good spell, so I prefer casting ones that have fast animations to not lock me out of good dps, however there are good ones even for nightlords like LLL (buffs your dodge) and HS (gives your team infinite FP for 7s seconds)
and lastly, always try keeping a good reviving weapon, because depending on the spell, reviving will take forever
