On the shield maul, I had maniacs for a while, but it just did too much damage to those anyway. I run flak because it's extremely common, and carapace because that needs to die quickly.
With shield maul, your ranged weapon is likely your boss killer, so consider the rending one with unyielding. Alternatively, accatran pump shotgun or any boltgun/pistol with bleed work well against bosses.

Different move sets. The VI is MUCH easier to use, and I believe the XI has slightly better damage against armor. You run rending on the VI, and probably something else on the XI.

That's the opposite of what I noticed in my testing, at least in terms of DPS. The VI's light-heavy combo was faster than the light into infinite heavies for the Xi for me, but I haven't used the XI much, and I may have missed an important part of its moveset.
VI seemed to have the better moveset overall too. Light spam to take care of less robust elites. Push attack-light-heavy for hordes. Very nice all around.

I’ve been doing a deep dive into Warhammer Fantasy and I have to say, something about the whole setting just feels super unique and fun. I think it’s the weird blend between fantasy shit and the semi-realistic/toned down aesthetics that don’t over do things, a lot of the artwork and stuff just feels right, none of the busy stuff of things like WoW. Feels like such a shame that its best adaptations to date are Total War and Vermintide. Might be a weird time to ask but if you guys could have anything you wanted in a Vermintide 3, what would it be? Assume it has the budget of a triple A game and developers who actually care. For me it’s:

Accatran with unyielding, flechette, full bore is an absolute boss DELETER and surprisingly robust at dealing with enemies now after the buffs. It's not normal to take a long time to find a quickplay match. If you're choosing a very specific mission, especially unpopular ones with unpopular modifiers, you might be with bots for the start of the mission. It also obviously doesn't help if you play during dead hours in your region.
Quick play should put you into a populated game most of the time tho.

It still does more horde clear than the other arbites weapons, but its movement feels outdated. You can move freely and sprint with the new weapons but that will animation cancel the rashad light attacks which feels shitty and makes you less mobile

I always breathe a sigh of relief when the group I'm playing with rolls rituals, because that modifier is so fucking easy it's unreal. You just need to go for a quick push (usually solo zealot unless there's a dense horde blocking the corridor) when they trigger prematurely. I think some of those are intentional. All of what you suggested sounds good. Definitely beyond the scope of Fatshark but if a big name was on the on the case we could at least see most of it in (ideally free) updates. Have constant content updates released, extra factions and maps made playable one at a time, I personally think a potential dream game would do good with a fleshed out open world for certain areas, really bring the setting to life and sell the atmosphere, not sure I would go full on RPG with it but it would be cool to walk around the Empire and help military efforts like driving back Orks or Beastmen or enlisting in the Imperial College and learning magic and stuff. Mk6 is a push attack > light > heavy and light loop, and the Mk11 is just heavy and light loop from the start
If you just light attack with either of these you will start doing strikedowns with very little cleave and your horde dps will tank

Feel like I'm having a hard time choosing between the Exterminator Shotgun and the Shotpistol and shield. Like the extra power of the exterminator, it seems like it can cleave through everything, have taken out big ass groups of gunners or shotgunners in a couple shots, and being able to more easily handle carapace enemkes, but the pistol and shield can come in clutch too, being able to tank a bunch of gunfire is nice along with the faster reload. What are you guys preferring so far?

I tried playing without dog to have regenerating shock mines, which I do like but it feels so wrong without the dog, he can really come in handy at times.

I've so far just been running that top rated Arbites build on that gameslantern site and have been enjoying it a lot. Unless you plan on bolter sniping, yes. The ability is overrated and only good for getting a res off. The slow immunity does not apply to objectives, and you do not become stun immune, so it's only a crutch for when you suck at melee, or infinite mag for bolter sniping. Break the line makes you functionally unbeatable in melee.

You should be using voltaic mandibles first and foremost, and at least some dog damage with it. Without any damage support, it will uselessly pounce something and hold it to the ground, making it annoying for melee to hit, and very hard for ranged weapons to hit. Cleave is how many targets your weapon will go through before being stopped by mass.
Rending is ignoring a percentage of the enemies armor
Brittleness is a debuff reducing the enemies armor on hit which applies to everyone.
Impact is how much stagger your weapon or skill applies, making enemies flinch or stagger. More impact will give different levels of stun varying from a mild touch, to animation interrupting. To making enemies have a half second stun as they swing back, to knocking them on their ass outright.

Impact (also called stagger interchangeably) determines how hard your hits stun the enemy. For example, you need high impact to stagger ragers out of their flurry of blows once they've started.
Cleave determines how many foes your attacks can hit at once. It's counterpart is mass, which determines how difficult it is to cleave through specific enemies. For example, Crushers have a high enough mass to stop your blows from cleaving when they connect with them; unless you have a blessing that can ignore mass.

No that totally depends on what you're breaking through. Break the line can break a wall of crushers but if you're dealing with 180 degrees of snipers and flamers and bombers and gunners, from different ranges, break the line only takes you so far. Castigator has 10 seconds of godmode to pick them off one by one while needing no cover.
