Put everything to sleep before it acts then get a strong AOE low cost attack from the arbalist with extra damage from the sleep bonus. It can be harder to use charged snipe/sharpshoot for bosses and FOEs though because you need to have the charge ready and hope the ailment/bind doesn't where off before you're ready to use it. Still very usable and good though, it just requires some setup.

Do FOEs have some sort of special ailment recovery on top of their resistances? I'm trying to go for the evil eye into muting word combo but it feels like ailments against FOEs last 1 turn about 90% of the time, 2 turns 10% of the time and 3+ 0%.
Am I just that unlucky? Is relapse curse mandatory for this strat?

EO is pretty straight forward already. The most complex thing about it are skills description not telling you the %'s and neat gimmicks you can do with subs.
You can't dumb it down without doing something like infinite use ariadne threads, saving anywhere, big arrows pointing to shortcuts, or removing armor slots.
Sorta like what happened with SMTVV preorder items but that game still turned out good.
