fact of the matter is that wows rotations, not all of them but most of them, have so many procs and cooldowns that if you are letting cooldowns slide or even missing a single proc, you suffer giga dps losses. its the kind of thing that happens to normal people, but automated bots have no trouble keeping track of every proc and cooldown no matter what you're in the middle of dodging or repositioning for.

i dont even know that i would call wows rotations overcomplicated (except healers), but there is just too narrow a margin for error, you lose too much if you dont act on a proc within a split second, its too fast.

Questing is too easy and boring, you just run around oneshotting everything. Here's 4 characters that went through 10 runs of story mode gallywix each. 5 runs with my brain and hands, 5 runs with one button rotation.

I ran 2 arms warriors, one being my main that I have pinks, purple, and orange parses across the board for both overall and ilvl bracket. The second warrior is a rerun I did on a different character because my main was killing the boss right at the 3 minute mark just before CDs came up, and I wanted to make sure it wasn't skewing the data.

The second class is a destro warlock alt that I've played in delves and a few normal pugs, nothing significant. I'm familiar with the rotation, but by no means know it in and out.

The third class is a shadow priest. A spec I have literally never played. I had no idea what I was doing, I just copied the meta single target talent build and based what I did off pure intuition. No guides, no looking up how to play it, anything like that.

In all 3 cases I beat the single button rotation, from class I have down to a T to spec I've literally never played in my life and had to learn on my own as I was killing the boss. You will not be out DPSing 75% of wow players with this garbage, the dumb mick just doesn't understand that rank 1 parses are luckshitters that RNGd their way into the upper end of their DPS variance on a good pull, and seems to conveniently forget that the bottom 30% is mostly just players tanking the floor for half the fight.

As a Rogue main who plays Outlaw and Assassination I think Rogue is mostly fine.
The only pain point is the necessity to stealth before packs but most people in M+ just want to chain pull for days which fucks you over.
I'm not really sure how you would go about fixing this other than removing the timer from M+ so people don't feel the need to rush around chain pulling constantly.
