Is there any particular reason why the Pyro is allowed to completely shut down Spy as a class without any effort? If this same logic was applied to other classes, then the Pomsom's uber drain would be integral to the Engineer's kit and would also disable healing, and the Spy's sapper would disable the Engineer's PDA entirely

Generally the lower the skill floor, the more hardcounters. Scout gets shut down by Engineer (1 class). Heavy gets shut down effortlessly by Spy and Sniper (2 classes). Engineer gets shut down by Demo, Soldier, and Spy (3 classes). If you don't want any hardcounters then learn to aim and play Sniper instead.

A medic uber just can't achieve much in a 9v9, whereas in a 6v6 its so powerful its the main thing players are constantly thinking about. The impact of each individual player gets extremelly diminished in 9v9 too, other than those 2 classes i mentioned, demoman and sniper
Theres an extra layer of complexity in offclassing in 6s as opposed to just running the same class the whole match in highlander, and adding players doesnt necceserally add depth to the gameplay, if anything it can remove depth as the game degenerates into spam central due to an excess of players

When RGL came and became a continuation of competitive NA TF2, I already knew the game I liked was gone and the community would never be the same ever again. Everything that you see now is just the gradual increase of mechanical talent with foundations and fundamentals that were laid out 10-15 years ago by generally smarter people/players. Literally nothing about the game has changed and that's because you can change the balance of weapons and add silly concepts, but the executional part of TF2 remains the same. Whether you like it and whether they are aware of it, or not, the greater part of TF2's casual-playing community views TF2 more akin to how Overwatch plays rather than how TF2 is actually played at higher levels. They fixate really hard on class roles and niche skills instead of looking at how players interact with each other and especially how they thrive in certain environments. Another big problem with comp TF2 is how many few players actually play competitive and when creating a team, TF2 players are just cursed and can't be bothered to learn what's essentially 15 lines worth of information regarding game meta then get frustrated when you tell them that by sacking out of last cp that they are throwing the game. The game is over man, move on, or play casually which won btw.

Why does the Mad Milk deal no damage? Scout's throwing a glass bottle filled with a non-milk substance at you which shatters into many glass shards on impact.

Okay, I'll bite, how does Odyssey play bad? Because my experience with it has been very positive. Its chokepoints are very visually and mechanically defined, and have variety throughout the stage. There's also a lot of verticality and flank routes, and I've found that all mercenaries are highly viable and fun to play. You know, for all the people bitching at Valve for not adding Cactus Canyon, Odyssey basically is that map, but like objectively 20x better. People just don't know good maps when they see it. This is what only playing Dustbowl and Goldrush does to people, it rots and mind and stunts the soul.

Why does everyone say Phoenix looks like an Overwatch map? The texture work, attention to color, and attention to the industrial feels like real TF2. I would say that it feels more like real TF2 compared to the majority of what was included in invasion and jungle inferno.
