Every other MMO that is coming out or is out already has little to no modding scene and the character creation for them is like "body type A/B" shit with C cup breasts being the biggest you can get. The faces are (mostly) ugly. Sometimes it feels like this was done on purpose to spite straight men for liking sexy women.
Or on the flip side, if the character creation is good, then the game is dogshit. No end-game pve content, microtransaction P2WIN garbage out the wazoo, extremely grindy and unfun and the game dies within a month.
In short, I like the character customization in KMMOs but I like the gameplay of western MMOs and FFXIV blends the two just right for me (when I use mods at least). Those modbeasts in balmung pay for subs which keep the game going and I get to capitalize on all the modding tools their ecosystem creates to make my own experience better too so it doesn't bother me that they exist.

I was one of those wow quitters. My guild barely killed the vampire guy on Mythic and we couldn't get a 2nd kill because of Stone Legion Generals cucking us. The Sylvanas raid came out and after the first night of doing normal mode one person spoke up about being a little burned out and quitting the game and like 75% of the voice chat spoke up as well "yeah..... me too.... just not feeling it". It was actually wild how shared the sentiment was among all of us. Only 1 guy remained and he was like "so are we pugging replacements or...?" and we were like "dude the guild is dead you're on your own now, the GM and all the officers quit!"
We ended up disbanding that night and most of them went to classic wow and I came back to FFXIV to try actual end-game raiding here instead. (I was casual before).
