Ina is an old D2 player, but I'm not sure she's logged in since Beyond Light. She's never played on stream.
Selen Tatsuki of NijiEN played a few times in members-only streams, and actually had fun in PvP back in early Lightfall, but never played any campaign, and dropped the game when she left the company.
Kibawoo, formerly a Phase member, got hooked back in Witch Queen, and routinely talks about how she's still playing as recently as Heresy, but hasn't played it on stream since Lightfall's release.
Fangz, a decently-large indie, used to almost exclusively stream D2, and even had a warlock model with a Void child as an extra asset, but she started playing the game less in Wish and completely dropped it a couple of weeks after participating in the Salvation's Edge race. She's on DBD now of all things
There's a few small vtubers that used to do primarily D2 content, but I can't find any still doing it as their main content anymore. Most of them quit either during Year of Lightfall or shortly after TFS. They mostly switch to Warframe or FotM games.

Systems autist here, if Bungie was so concerned about crafting spiraling out why didn't they just have some things be craftable or having crafting require specific materials you'd strip off guns in sort of a way how the system originally shipped but just get rid of the individualized shit for applying certain perks and categories? Y'know like actually giving people an incentive to not only play the game, but feel rewarded for doing so and having that crafted thing end up as their ultimate hedged bet? Even fucking Division 1 solved this shit 100 years ago and it worked out. I feel like this is one of those things where nobody at Bungie plays videogames let alone is good at them to realize it's not like RNG doesn't still exist and there's seldom stuff that's really primed for raw exploitation as long as you set things up correctly. They talked about this in a blogpost or something, but originally that's what crafting was supposed to be: You strip the perks out of a redborder and build the pattern and perks you want using currencies. It ended up being very cumbersome (which makes sense), so they had to do the level system and the more generic currencies. Except the generic currencies ALSO got cumbersome, so they scrapped it all and made it shards/glimmer.
I personally think that Crafting is better if it's an RNG fallback. Something like:

>You need 20~50 for the pattern.
This would allow you to feasibly get a godroll before you can craft it, and also give you a tangible progress gauge for RNG protection.
I think the main reason Bungie doesn't do this is because the expectation at this point is that patterns are 5 redborders. They might feel it's a genie they can't put back in the bottle, so instead they just banish it to a corner and hope nobody notices it.

Crafting was only an issue to no lifers and streamers. They'd grind the seasonal activity to the bone, get all the shit it has inside of a week maybe two then get mad that there was not even more shit to grind. They act like normal players are doing 8 hour sessions to get tears of contrition or some shit. Normal people got most of their reds inside of two months and just kept playing it for fun, general resources, armor, seasonal shit. They really ruined a good system because they equate fun with tedium. Also they won't admit it but it bothered them seeing casuals with best in slot weapons. They were like we should have them ignoring that dungeon and raid loot is literally their tryhard reward system with several complete sets of weapons, armors and exclusive exotics. Destiny 3 is legit not as much of a risk as everyone says. It's one of the best known GaaS IPs and has lost tons of casual fans over the years because Destiny 2 got more and more confusing.

A totally new game called something vague like "Destiny: New Horizons" or some shit, set in a different solar system and requiring minimal knowledge of D1 and D2 would do well. I know they really can't show TOO much from Kepler because the point of the genre they're aping is the exploration and mystery, but Bungie really needed to follow up TFS with something that is a bit more able to be shown off.

Edge of Fate does look "fine" for a $40 DLC ($30 in 2017 value). It's obviously not a lot of content, but it might be mildly fun and last at least 8 hours. That's not terrible considering how expensive other games are getting, even if there's no new subclass. All the QOL stuff is free and welcome.

If I were a betting man, I imagine for sake of progression to end power level cap(sake of clarity not fully addressing those stupid ass temporary upgrade module things), things will probably start to resemble Diablo 4 nightmare dungeons where you really want to only do certain modifiers and certain activities in portal to have better shot at loot you actually want and not have a drawn out clusterfuck. I'd remove that piece of shit called Mettle and return overleveling back. If people are dedicated enough, they should be allowed to get stronger. Also the 'cut off your available light for more incoming and less outgoing damage' approach is absolute shit. I replayed classic Oblivion this month, their difficulty settings are fucking idiotic. The lowest setting is 'you deal x6 damage, enemies deal 1/6th of their basic damage', the highest is the same but reversed. Bungie basically uses the same approach but dilutes it with shit modifiers, champions and now banes as well. I'd prefer something in the vein of old Doom/Duke 3D: higher difficulties have more enemies in general and stronger enemies that appear earlier in the mission in greater numbers as well. Mass Effect had enemies use their abilities more tactically and frequently. I don't think Bungie can pull off something like that.

Are we really not able to immediately play stuff at the hardest difficulty or at the very least build up to having tier 5 reward source stuff open at launch? Make Kepler one of many brand new undiscovered locations on a brand new director. Make it travel-able only via wormhole, so you have to leave all your old gear behind. Have Kepler equipment be the only gear beholden to their new shitty changes. Do literally anything interesting.

Never play it and way back around Forsaken I was sick home from work so I load up D2 and in my first game playing PVP since fucking Warmind I shit you not CammyCakes is in my lobby. I have no idea why but here we are. If I were not sick I'd have just logged off to play strikes or some shit but today these meds and this fever got me lopsided and I think I can take him. So I go flying at him straight out of spawn like a fuckin gorilla with his ass on fire. He's about to get that crispy two tap at 40 meters with [insert broken weapon of the day] but not today some other bot got him low and I get that rubber banding melee kill where not even the game knows what the fuck just happened. 1 kill then I get farmed to mercy. My crowning PVP achievement. To Cammy it was just Tuesday.

I'd balance the game around dodging the enemy attacks more, while also lowering the enemy health in higher difficulties. You should feel powerful when defeating enemies, but you should feel challenge when facing them but not because they have 10 trillion health and energy shields.

Though I'd also essentially "nerf" resto but not really, it should allow you to recover health but not outright mitigate the damage taken unless its like patrol mode. Bonk hammer itself would be harder to use since you'd need to constant run into enemies to grab it and with their aggressiveness of aiming and damage turned up it might not be wise to always just run to pickup the hammer.
