Castigator's Stance mostly only feels like an "Oh fuck" button. So it's good for that, especially since you don't need to invest into it further than the first talent, but outside of that, I rarely ever use it. I can go several missions without ever pressing it.

Nuncio requires both points since it's an amazing team protection tool, but it feels almost worthless outside of Havoc since it's stationary it's rare to get much use out of it. But in Havoc, I'd argue it's as good as Push depending on the circumstance. But even then, I think I'd prefer Break the Line and just swap out Dog Damage for Distance.

Been playing Outlast Trials, and while fun, what's with the atrocious matchmaking?

You put carapace and flak on it, give it a cleave blessing that you like, and then either the strength blessing or one of the heat blessings. You use the mark whose push followthrough is a big stab, and then spend a while becoming acquainted with the moveset because it's a little finicky. Power on to kill hordes or big guys. Stab them in the face, there's a couple combos that somewhat reliably get stabs out every other attack, I'll let you discover them yourself.

Make sure you run the damage node 1 point into the bottom right, the sword kinda needs it. For the rest, run zealot how you like it, just don't try to focus on crits too much, it's not good at that.

So, not sure if it's still an issue since I no longer bother with stealth, but I could try to check and report back later.

Unleashed Brutality seems worthless, the dog isn't aggressive enough and trappers can be right on top of me before the dog agros.
Go Get Em is a bit better, but it doesn't just prioritize Elite and Specialist ranged, but pleb shooters too, which takes up a lot of it's time doing basically nothing.

If you came into one of my games like that I would be a revive king. You need damage somewhere in your build, you left out Killzone, Superiority Complex and Bring it Down. Take off the Crit Chance and Extra Supression and pick up Reciprocity for more Crit Chance than the node will give you. Born leader can also be swapped out for more toughness and take the damn rending off of Marksman's Focus to grab the normal ass rending talent. Learn the damage calc too, because with this shit you'll just be doing less damage than a no keystone build with the damage talents. Recons and Kantraels only have a weakspot ratio of 1.4 or 1.6 and their critical weakspot ratios are around 1.8 so you're not getting the same damage leap that you would get with a Vraks' 2.2 to 3 ratios by a sizable margin. Also, exhilarating takedown is great but Longshot doesn't even start working until you're passed 12 meters, you'd get a significantly larger defense boost out of Close Order Drill and Confirmed Kill. Dreg/Scab Melee goons do 108 damage, and looking at this you don't seem to have a very high toughness so even one of those goobers is going to take off Iron Will on the first hit and you'll be down to a 5% TDR from 50%.

For the most part yes. I’m too tired to write up a comprehensive list of all them and ranking them but I can do it when I wake up. Generally though Fantasy followed the same formula of 40k where there wasn’t necessarily any one clear cut top dog because they all have/had strengths and weaknesses and aren’t always operating at their max strength for whatever reasons. A pretty good panic button for getting a res off, and the cope of doing puzzles while under ranged fire. That's it. It has a massive cooldown, and is only actually truly useful for trading fire with gunners (unnecessary) and reloading your bolter (why are you sniping and not mashing faces?)

It still mostly is, it just depends on how many gunners there are, and whether there's a reaper mixed in there sharting out a constant barrage at you. The timing is extremely tight, and you will take toughness chip, but I manage even on my 50 toughness zealot.
It's just obviously safer to always be in piss toughness and ideally behind a bubble when there's lots of gunners, and you should ideally have a dedicated gunner sniper in the team.

Some people, like me, like the dopamine you get when you get a good drop. Also if you can craft everything you want, it just ends up in you rolling a good base for a few minutes and everyone playing the same meta shit. I think the more RNG there is in a game, the better (depends in which departments though, and looting gear is definitely the most fun one). Also, I just like grinding shit in games. Even in Terraria I'd grind some events for the fun drops, which are completely optional and you can finish the game without them.

1) you can beat the missions with suboptimal gear, meaning that the looting part is not detrimental to the gameplay and is just another layer of rewarding you for playing the game

Anyway, I'd prefer a system which satisfies both sides (or doesn't satisfy either). Hello anons, I am new, I just completed my first Auric Maelstrom. It was pretty fun, a little difficult.
I only had two issues, it seems like sound is bugged or something? Pox Bursters stopped making sound entirely, and I got thrown off a bridge and died because of it. And later I saw it happen to all of my teammates, so I guess it's a global problem and not just me.
And secondly, it was really hard to see when things got hectic, several dozen different area effects basically just meant I was relying entirely on my Execution Order to see through things.

I tried to join Havocs but I kept getting kicked. For like 30 minutes. So I guess this is as far as I'm going.

It is, fatshark are fucking retards and can't get audio channels to work correctly. They are also fucking retards for not assigning correct audio channel priority to things that are important. They are also retards for having designed the engine to support at most a dozen specials at any one time, and then scaling difficulty exclusively based on introducing SEVERAL dozen enemies at once, each of which populate the sound channels all on their own, so if you have 4-5 bursters, the game audio legitimately dies. It's an engine issue.

It's 99% this. There was one patch they fixed soundmixing and you could actually hear crushers say their lines and stomp towards you, it was just like chaos warriors in VT2.
The fucked up part? They reverted it because the same patch also broke special sounds completely. It was that notorious silent burster/trapper patch where every second special was silent, without exaggeration.
