Am I crazy for getting excited for Halo: Combat Re-evolved? I'm sure Halo will never recover but maybe a remake is a way to get things back on track. A tutorial for the team before the big one. Most of the cuts aren't in Xbox, but it seems Everwild, Perfect Dark, Zenimax IP "Blackbird" seem to be all dead. Microsoft hasn't commented on this part yet.

Xbox hardware however has no layoffs, and next gen continues as planned. Seems other studios largely avoided big cuts, but lots of global roles in marketing and customer service seem to have been outsourced, especially in Asia.

Perfect Dark / The Initiative is closed, fully confirmed. Alongside a bunch of other unannounced projects. Blade, State of Decay 3, OD, and even Contraband are safe it seems, but Perfect Dark, Everwild, and ZeniMax's new MMORPG are all done.

As cold as it sounds I'm not that down on the idea? Infinite's MP isn't perfect and I get people not wanting it to be used as a base anymore, but with MCC on PC and with modding capabilities, its hard to really ask for more beyond a larger player population. Or at least in there here and now because UE5 really isn't stable on PC.

If you like Dokibird's CE playthrough, I also recommend Coni Confetti's CE playthrough. She's funny/cute and gets scared of everything, including the grunts.

If you prefer a more chill watchalong, I recommend LucyJRobyn's CE playthrough (currently watching her 3 playthrough), and she also goes through the marketing materials for each game (watching the trailers) before playing them which is neat, seeing a new fan visually get hyped with each trailer like we did way back then.
