after talking to the inquisitor in act 4, you get sent to dargonus to start the final dlc 2 quest. the dlc companion had no interactions when the quest was given, and the quest log mentions talking with him before reaching a location, but he has no new topics to talk about. i am essentially locked into the bad ending for the companion because of this.

But I do remember liking it a lot and the reveal that your master trained you wrong as joke was really funny.

How come there is no crpg like ghost recon? Get send to "notmexico" and fight the cartels or join them. try to save people or take part in torture. Protect your morals or your cover, work with the government or as a lone wolf. Lots of factions that all hate each other, big moral dilemmas, small interpersonal drama. Small scale infiltrations and large firefights throughout towns.

Anyone know where I can get good character art? I was trying to find one for a psyker RT but I was hitting a dead end. I finally settled for making one through AI.

Honestly a hugely annoying if minor problem with RT. In games with generic fantasy settings like Pathfinder, BGs or Icewind Dale you can find generic warrior, mage etc portraits everywhere and they will fit. 40k has too unique designs to fit random stuff into it so you are pretty much only confined to official GW art or explicitly 40k fanart. And then good look finding portraits to fit RT artstyle in particular. I too resorted to AI slop with RT with locally installed stable diffusion and loras. Because without loras AI generators struggle to portray 40k as well. And slop sucked anyway desu.

It's summer. I haven't seen a cloud in days. Thus I have plenty of time to yell at people with shitty taste on the internet. PoEs writing is probably the worst I have ever seen in a crpg(except maybe BG3s). It's overwritten and shallow at the same time and it doesn't get out of the way, ever. IMO, touch AC, Flatfoot and base were the pinnacle, it just made sense. Unfortunately, dex abusers could abuse the system.

Hag-riven bloodrager's Wicked Gaze stacks with witch and shaman Evil Eye, which stack with each other.
From level 8 on, for losing a round to mean mugging, that's -12 to AC/Attack/Saving Throws, or some combination, for at least one round.
The Saving Throws Evil Eye is I imagine the least utilized but I find it really nice, especially if an enemy is already caught prone or held or whatever.
Debilitating status effects and ability damage is what's mostly taking me through Hard. I do have Nenio as pure evocation sorcerer and it is of course very powerful, but there are times when weakening/debilitating them somehow makes more go through and ultimately ends the combat sooner.

In my last DND campaign I dm'd, an artificer on my team had like 25AC with ought trying to hard because I stupidly put a +2 heavy armor for the party to find.

For the rest of the campaign I couldn't hit him with shit and had to start grappling his ass.

2E might not be "beginner friendly" but BG1 is, for the most part. BG3 has such terrible combat due to being constrained by 5E that Larian themselves flat out said WotC wouldn't let them redo the combat the way they wanted, since it would no longer be 5E D&D if they had their way. Would've been a much better game, but the whole purpose of BG3 from WotCs perspective was as a licensed tie in to help push the rest of their product lines.

They should have made their own IP for their own Mass Effect. Honestly they fucked up hard by picking Expanse. Not all settings are fit for further exploration. Some are designed for one particular story and Expanse seems to be it. All important for setting characters and world changing events were put into tv show/book already, there is hardly any room for squeezing in other stuff. It's why trying to come up with your own donut steel story in Lotr always comes out cringeworthy too. And to top it off Expanse setting doesn't look interesting either, it's story carrying it for people, not the world. I really feel like it's a very dumb choice.
This is unlike stuff like 40k, Pathfinder, Forgotten Realms and others which were explicitly designed to be "huge" worlds and sandboxes where many interesting things can happen and where many stories can be written.

Yes, choosing the Expanse was a huge, colossal blunder. No one is going to buy or play the game because it's in that setting, so the game will live or die off Owlcats marketing and the people who will always buy and play CRPGs/Owlcat games. Funny how there's all the tools you can possibly desire for "Warp Anomaly Farm" build yet even the basic Power Sword still oneshots everything because of how broken Executioner is.
Its fun and dandy build until you explode to death so building around Act 2 hood that "either gives +2 AP or sets you on fair with 50% chance" is a better approach for a Chaos Psyker since you can at least diminish the damage you take unlike the Warp Happening effects.

Shields are meh, but I have never been a fan of shields in any game ever. Shotguns a fine. The archetype I love. Not for its power or utility (it's not the most powerful archetype), but for how much attention and care they gave it. BG3 is one of the only AAA crpgs in existence and had the backing of the worlds most popular tabletop game which was already in a boom due to other factors also boosting its popularity.

If you ever play again consider a modded playthrough. I always recommend Spell Revisions, some economy mod, NPC Project, the mod that moves some NPCs to sensible places so you encounter them earlier, and SCS (often people do SCS and Ascension, but I'm personally satisfied with SCS though I haven't tried Ascension, it might be good or it might be retarded 'wolves now cast fireball' shit, I genuinely don't know)

Even just an economy mod will change up how you play a lot. I feel like it's not as bad of a problem in BG2, it feels like right up into the late game there's things that are worth spending money on, mostly.

There is a lot of combat too, owlcat cut down on their trash encounters from wotr but there are still some encounters that wear out their welcome. Combat is turn based, and the system scales up your power quickly so builds don't matter too much. It's more fun to play a thematic and flavorful character than a sweaty build since all in means is that instead of winning in 2 rounds you win in 3 or 4.

The fact that they did end up having sex does not change the fact that Shep had no way of knowing that was going to happen, and that the reasonable estimation as far as he could tell when he entered the relationship was that it would be asexual. He is aware that Quarians die when they take their suits off. The escort option seems good because space battles are the only real threat after a certain point. I have never lost a grimdark run on a ground battle, but I have lost twice on space battles. If you take the escort option and you also choose the escort option from colony management, you get two.

The reason it has not appeared yet is because it only shows up after Commorragh. One of the Bladedancer talents scales your wounds off Medicae, and another scales your Medicae off WS or Agi, I forgot which. You can become a very SAD guy that way. Toughness pays off in Exemplar levels when you can get the extra 12+ TGH bonus wounds there though.

Companion reactivity in RT feels way better than in BG3, but that may be because RT has more companions on the team and they are generally way more interesting and important

Well the heavy armor I want is a linchpin to this build and will make it work. It's Arbitrator Solomon Vhyr's Armour, basically takes my coercion skill and turns it into deflection.
