Most of the deck playstyles are just unfinished, with little to no support. Stuff like ramp dragon, dirt rune and abyss are obvious examples, but I'd even say stuff like puppet portal isn't in a healthy spot either because it's solely carried by Orchis. Same with forest being carried by Roach.

The only fully fledged deck themes are what, artifact portal, spellboost rune and sword? And those are less "here's a style you should play" and more "if you don't pull these exact cards in order the whole thing is garbage" which doesn't feel good either

So the only other option is directly manipulating the gameplay itself. In Shadowverse, this would be draw manipulation. The high level pros talk, and if it's happening way too often to them, they'd have a good empirical measurement of how many games it happens in, since they record their games.

Your account has a rank seed when it's created. What ever that seed is you'll never go higher and if you do you'll likely be immediately demoted. If you demote from that seed it's easy to get back. Cy already knows who the "big players" are and they don't have a seed so they can climb and tank as freely as they want. Everyone else does and it's impossible to prove. The game uses the same tactics as every other TCG with giving you fucked or godly draws same for your opponent and how heavy it goes depends on how close you are to getting out of your seed or getting back to it.
