Those with trouble linking their steam to nexon, first go to incognito or something try to recover a nexon account with the same email of your steam account, if it doesn't exist any then go to your nexon account and in the settings manually link your steam there, now when you open the game it will ask you to pick between the temp account where you had to play the fucking tutorial again, and the account you use to play the game. It worked for me, at least.

I tried that too. First I made an account with the google one I use in my phone, using the Log-in with google option. It prompted me to create a new account, and it had a generic username in the forum, something like USER1347292 with no BA data. So I unlinked it, created another Nexon account with a different email and linked the google account from there, same issue.

I suspect there's already a Nexon account made, because I can access the forums from the app in my phone, but it shouldn't let me link the same email to other Nexon accounts if that was the case. I have no other google emails I could've used to link it in the first place. It's stupid.

I just have to wait for their reply.

Apparently if you try to login through google in the steam version it will just create a korean nexon account alongside a global one, and link it to your google and steam accounts which won't let you transfer your progress. To fix that you gotta navigate through the korean nexon site and disconnect the korean account from both your google and steam accounts, then go to the global nexon site, recover the password to be able to access the global account, then connect it to both your google and steam accounts, and only then you'll be able transfer your progress in the steam version.

Play through main missions as far as you can - do not care about 3*ing them. If / when you brickwall you can go back and do either hards or 3* normal missions.
At some point try to do the event recaps for the piles of free students there, they're very useful.
Do not spend your eligma.
Do spend your xp reports and gear upgrades, the low lvl stuff you get isn't going to make an impact late game so use it to help clear the early content, don't worry about bricking yourself.
Books ideally require a bit more thought - Iori has an accuracy skill for example that is completely useless to level up since it only really impacts pvp, but don't be too afraid of using your grey / blue books. Gold and purple should probably be sat on.

Been so long I don't remember if they count towards pity or not, but we're getting the Seia event in a few days with banners actually worth sparking - if you can hold off until then the rolls are better spent during that.
If another anon says the basic bitch rolls don't count towards pity then go ahead, but now is the worst time to roll unless the star ones are COMPLETELY decoupled from the normal roll system - in a few days we get a Seia banner with 100 free rolls and after that is blufes with 2x the drop rates and unique anniversary students.

You'd only really want to roll if you're really struggling to get anywhere in the game and you'd earn more rolls by having some extra students, which I find unlikely with how many event recap ones are given out for free.

If you're new enough to be asking it's probably important.
A good yellow AOE like Nonomi will eat blue stages better than a poor blue ST like Asuna, but even a mediocre red AOE is going to do better on red than yellow unless investment is higher than I think any newfag will have.

Nonomi is free, the event recaps have 3 red AOE students. Between those you should be relatively covered for the campaign missions.
tHasumi from the event recap should sort out most ST checks.
Healers and tanks do NOT care about colours at all, so just use what you have (Yuuka is great - I used her and Tsubaki for all of campaign back in the day).
