The one real problem with the Revenant is that her starting weapon is too good to be dropped (instant revives and good scaling) but has no passive. On other characters I started discarding the starting weapon first.
The serpent hunter's two-handed charged sweeps are faster and deal significantly more damage (over a third more, 873 vs 636) than milos' (ignoring bleed) despite it being a tier lower (there's about a 5 AR difference) against the training dummy as a level 15 wylder with no relics.

Duchess, Recluse, and Revenant could have respectable HP if the first two dropped their FTH for more vig and Rev dropped INT for VIG.
Recluse is the only one i ever see people occasionally using incants on, the other two it's a waste unless you get a purple catalyst of the opposite stat while you're still using a white.

Just tried darkdrift remembrance for Ironeye and the Guardian player idled around the start so he wouldn't get kicked but did nothing so we died on night 2.

IDK if anyone has posted this before, but I watched a random Youtube video that explained why the BBH is so OP in this Nightreign.
Basically, they added a special stagger animation to every single enemy in the game that is activated when certain Ultimates are used (wylder, raider, guardian, ironeye etc). HOWEVER, they just forgot to add this animation to the BBH.
So he can't ever get staggered unless you get a full stance break on him (which opens him up for crits). Ulting him as a Wylder for example will never stagger him because he doesn't have that special stagger animation.

Still, Rennala’s moon is meant to be a counter to sorceries, or pierces through them, and isn’t meant to be powerful, just efficient. Or special. Similar to the Eternal Darkness spell which the Sellians seem to have shunned, or feared.
Rennala has the special spell while Azur and Lusat became transcendent.

When you gain a reward crystal every "risk of rain" section gets overtaken by the night rain, and new sections get under risk of rain, but up until that point it doesn't advance
incentivizes people to explore the various camps, ruins, castles, churches fully, makes rushing gaols also much harder because it cuts off large sections of the map before you had time to do anything
also would be a bit more of a relaxed mode overall

if you want to lean more towards caster, i'd use a setup with the 3 staff + Rise FP relic, since you can also leverage that relic's insane max FP gain to spam the hell out of weapon skills then restage them too.
The dagger chain reprise effect is decent if you're determined to be dagger-only but like Wylder's greatsword follow-up, it makes you want to lean on only that weapon type and makes you less flexible.
