You can also drop your Well and swap to Prismatic with the fragment that buffs ability damage against dark debuffed enemies to boost your gun damage even further.

For whatever reason Bungie was really proud of themselves of that crappy ass water traversal addition to the game even though it just highlighted how much this game really does live by its momentum. It definitely was a corner Bungie turned with making dungeons with more tedium for padding and “become more raid like”. I think what has me extra skeptical is Bungie's had some very inconsistent design philosophies combo'd with their loot pool curation is littered in garbage. Not saying there was no good weapons in past year of the game, but the contrasts were pretty stark with certain things and Bungie has a weird habit of not really moving the needles especially when something got nuked pretty hard. Shorter life span on things will have options a bit narrowed. I have been playing through FF, WoW, even Division just farting around, catching up with certain things and it dawned on me there is way too much downtime in this game and how shittily structured so much is that we practically deserve to be punished with Hulu screen Destination map. the only way to save destiny is to cancel the release of edge of fate and renegades and confirm that there will be a year long content drought. afterwards bungie will take the time to make a proper expansion that is 2x of release, featuring multiple planets, strikes, and even raids. a whole new arsenal of weapons will be released and even destiny themed armor sets will be created. we will also get a final darkness subclass and new prismatic aspects that feature not only only aspects but the new darkness ones aswell. lastly the story wont be marvel slop and instead will be mysterious like destiny 1.

Going to be real with y’all, we’ve had a few rough moments over these last few months. There’s no beating around that bush. It can be hard to look at a day of celebration amidst some of the down beats and feel excited.
As we’re working hard at Bungie to get on that upswing, I feel it’s imperative to look around us and feel inspiration and hope. Today, as with every Bungie Day, is about you - the fans.
Some of you joined this community decades ago. Some just joined up an hour ago. It’s not common for something like this to last for so long, and frankly, we’re lucky to have you.
This community has done wonders for this world. On the Foundation side, we couldn’t be lucky enough to have such a vibrant, passionate community. Millions raised for Charity over the years, supporting people in hospitals, people working through natural disasters, people in need of safety spaces or help with mental health - no matter their country or background. Guardians of the World as a tagline has been proven time and time again.
So many of you have shown your creativity through writing, cosplay, digital & physical artworks, and so much more. Not just for our games, but expanding to a broader gaming community.
We’ve been lucky enough to see “LAN” parties, tournaments, meetups, conventions, and rallying cries to meet up and share your stories. The amount of passion on display is inspiring, not just from a standpoint of making games, but outright playing them.
You all remind us, and each other, of how amazing gaming can be. How a hobby can turn into a friendship, a second home, or simply a safe space to relax and explore the solar system.
Thank you for being you. Thank you for playing together, for grinding loot together, for laughing and crying and hooting and hollering together. Thank you for coming together and making something so grand - this community.

D2 already violates SKG's proposal anyway.

You could argue that Seasons are meant to be temporary (even though they have permanently impactful story beats in them), but at the bare minimum campaigns would need to be playable in some fashion.
Under SKG, you either have to be excruciatingly transparent that you are paying for a SERVICE that is ultimately ephemeral BEFORE purchase, or you have to make the product accessible in some form in perpetuity. Bungie does neither with D2. There's a presumption in the playerbase that seasons get vaulted at the end of the year, but there's no up-front documentation or fine print to tell you that before purchase. It's just something the community already playing the game knows.

The moment "featured exotics" was this middle ground for trying to have some of them count in the current season system just pissed me off. It's basically back to Watchable Content shit sandbox of year 3 in GMs, slim pickings on what you're going to be doing in content that calls for that modifier. The only part of Spire that is even remotely cowboy themed is the warmup encounter in the beginning. That does have good Space Cowboy vibes, but everything else is just gripping to an aesthetic that isn't present.

Probably a bit more recent. The old stuff had a bit of a different tone to it and some genuine mystery. Trials idle space voicelines while mostly talked about us just fucking up other guardians, did sorta allude to how we are these weird(to the Nine) creatures raised in seemingly benevolent light but we destroy so much and with little responsibility for our actions. That sorta does tie into what eventually back that later added detail in Y2/Joker's Wild how one of the Nine members intentionally fucked with Tower radar so Ghaul could slip in and somebody different could get a taste of the Light.


Invite to The Nine visits basically explains why Drifter is able to do what he does, that he is more tuned to Darkness usage, and "the blade and the hourglass" are just like him as in Eris and Exo and why specifically they'd come together on Europa. The bad on that is ronatimes cheated us out of a whole plot detail to their share alliance of being "the dark vanguard", and I imagine Bungie probably filled in a little extra with the Dark Future lore books. Not to say that idea was totally off the table, I just think they used it to cover more for the lack of much interactions between Eris-Drifter-Exo on Europa. One of the Invites also references Mara's leave and fucking up pyramid ships with the Nine not understanding she is privy to the invulnerability of having a Throne space.

We also got fucked on Prophecy because there was supposed to be the Emissary floating at each of the planetary stations in Heaven/Hell and there'd be different dialogue of Eris+Drifter reflecting on it, it got cut due to bugs and not playing right, I think video footage exists on youtube. Along with the whole lines of "light and dark on the same coin, not inherently good or evil" I also have seen people point to this in the overarching evidence of how Arrivals was always supposed to end Destiny 2.


Basically they're demystifying it and ruin it now.
