I'd take more splash AoE over more damage honestly. When I first started playing Magneto, I was excited because I thought I'd be able to really get skillful with the AoE of his primary attack. It is the best stun in the game because it lasts twice as long as other drums and completely removes a character from the game, as in they can’t be healed or take any damage so no one’s cancelling it early except you. What does that mean? It means you can completely remove a strategist from a team fight long enough to give your team the upper hand and steam roll. It’s what allows hulk to engage in 2v1s where other characters would lose. It also cancels so many ults, and gives him added anti flight utility. It can keep snipers in place while he aims his leap to dive them. It adds so much to his kit. Plus spitting on your enemies is extremely in character for hulk. The hate this move gets makes no sense.

The E takes anyone out of the game for 2s. This means if a healer comes to stop your kill they get fucked. This means if a dps is stopping your advance they get fucked. This means if a tank is getting in your way they get fucked. It also covers your ass when you try to get in or away since max jump is two seconds to charge. You taking away all that utility to instead buff his punches by 5 damage to tie him with the strongest melee damage in the game and make his shield last longer is SHIT. The way the moves are portrayed is odd. Using a shield is gods and banishing people is odd, but spitting on people isn’t odd for Hulk. If it was just a big loogie it would be perfect. Battleborn wasn't a hero shooter and Paladins (and Hi-rez in general) was extremely poorly managed. I say this as someone that actually worked at Hi-rez and the game at one point.
I also really don't agree with the design mentality for heroes on both the Smite and Paladins teams, which boils down to throwing shit at the wall until something sort of sticks.

Anon Paladins was notorious for its awful mismanagement. Don't know if you saw it but the concept stuff that would've been coming if they had the funding for it was terrible and exactly what people had been complaining about for years.

MK is actually solid if you can aim. The Ankh is a crutch that lowers your damage since it eats the initial hit. It's only good for the pull in.
