initial attack really wants to be stacked, it's not very valuable with a 1 relic dip and it's just mid as 2 relics. with 3, it's one of the strongest setups available in the game for non-casters, albeit a very boring one. Ironeye and Raider make the best use of it but wylder can still powerstance greatswords and alternate L1 and R1 to get very good DPS during damage windows. Block cancelling is a meme that will get you hit a lot during boss fights but it has its uses while clearing the map. just be aware that if you're playing around ISA you will be lacking poise damage compared to spamming jump attacks so if you end up with some extra consumable slots by day 3, try to bring some throwing knives that you can use to stop the stagger meter from depleting while the boss does its 20 second long combo running around the entire map

tl;dr initial standard attack is a bait pick unless you stack it 3 times
