Hey I saw your question about the overhead last thread.

For starters make sure you have hold to swing on and automatic swing off under his control options. Second is it's ok to spam the swing button until you get the timing down. To help with consistency you can hold down your melee button and it will automatically do your overhead/regular combo as soon as possible. Also if you swing cancel and there's nothing for your swing to grab into behind the enemy it will look like Spidey is doing his regular melee combo but then swap to his overhead. They're getting animation stacked together. The overhead comes out first if the swing makes contact with a wall.

Here's the thing though. Tracer > zip > uppercut > overhead won't kill even 250 HP characters now. So for consistency you should always be cancelling the swing into a tracer. Again you can hold down right click and it will queue up the tracer as soon possible. It makes it easier after you do the uppercut to focus on the swing timing while holding down right click and it will always cancel the swing into tracer.

Cancelling swing into tracer will also always make the overhead come out next and doesn't use a cooldown charge on you swings. With the tracer added it will take your damage (for next season) from 245 to 320. It is a much longer combo though and puts you in an easy to hit trajectory.

What it all comes down to is YOU needing to have a big positive impact on a match. That can be through instantly deleting all enemies, but more likely you need to have strong impact in how you play, the decisions you make, not dying much and having a strong positive impact on your team. That can extend to ensuring good team morale, preventing your team from tilting, not getting tilted yourself and never giving up.
A worse team can win a match they've been on the losing end off just based on the other team getting overconfident and sloppy, with at least 1 good player making the right plays and Ult uses to win key teamfights for an objective push.

A vast majority of players do not actually understand why exactly they won or lost a match and all the thing that impacted it, but then to tunnelvision on 1 thing which may not even have been that relevant like

I look at heroes and the roles as a challenge and value them based off the difficulty of design. If you made cyclops a DPS congratulations. You just made the most boring DPS imaginable. No amount of splitting beams or lasers with knockback or passive damage alterations is going to make this cyclops interesting. Likewise Jean being a healer is also boring as sin. When devs swap these heroes from their "must have" roles it brings innovation. However I only feel this way about characters who are kinda boring to begin with in terms of abilities. Like spider-man feels like spider-man which is good but thing the rock guy does rock guy things and my eyes glaze over.

If it's an issue of it being well hidden and needing off angling, then go off angle it as Ultron or something. If you're stuck with shitters, its better to swap/move away from choke then feeding them heals to bust through. Or do it anyway if you think healer ult is enough to make a break through.

You’re supposed to play along side divers or brawlers, let them take the lead, apply the damage reduce to them, charge with the intention of displacing as many enemies as possible as you’re running, followed by a 180 degree turn and charge back where you aim to hitti them all again, then you finish off the run with a slam around where your diver is, making a death zone where you and your team start pounding on the enemy. You’re almost unkillable if you do it right, and it’s easier said than done. You can also follow up your damage reduction on a squishie being diver with an instant charge slam to cuck dive. The character isn’t just charging in aimlessly and spamming M2. He has a flow to him like every other character in the game and he’s a lot of fun when played right.
