No one plays pure Battlewasps, only buglink. There are lots of lists out there, but it isn't a popular enough deck to point to any list as "THE List". There's a lot of wiggle room as far as extenders to run, ratios, and deck size go.
Importantly, the Heavy Cavalry fusion support is not out in OCG yet, so most lists you'll find are tailored towards the TCG. And Buglink fucking DIES to Maxx C, so you can't just run 60 cards to try and drown out your bricks like a lot of TCG lists do, because you need to maximize access to Maxx C counters. However, Supply Soldier(again, not out in OCG yet) DOES actually counter Maxx C, so maybe it is worth it to go above 40 cards in MD while maxing out on Suppy Soldier to counterbalance it, which is an otherwise 1-of.

So just look up various lists on youtube, or duel live(you can sort specifically to only show decks running Grand Partizan), or if you have to take drastic measures, check out the insect discord, and try out the different options people are running, and bee urself.

Battlewasp is kind of like Genex, where you have a one card starter that conga-lines the rest of your deck onto the board, but if that one chokepoint is hit you are suddenly playing with a deck of 2019 packfiller vs Maliss.
You might think that the deck is better in MD then in TCG because you can search Maxx C, but unironically Materiactor is the better 'hard search for Maxx C' deck since you actually have real interaction when you do that line.

Theres some lists on youtube that you can adjust for MD that run less non-engine and more extenders, but I think those will lose you games in best of 1. Your card quality is too bad to be relying on shit like Guard Mantis for extenders.

When you resolve a Materiactor combo it's far more rare that you'd not find good cards to add with Exguard/Meltdown. But realistically you don't want to be adding Maxx C, you'd much rather add a disruptive hand trap since if you're resolving a Materiactor combo you're also resolving a full Goblin combo and full board+Ash/Veiler/whatever is usually better than full board+Maxx C.
Same deal with bugs, searching Maxx C is nice when you can pull it off, but not worth devoting your combo to over setting up a stronger board. It's the same as those gimmicky Spright/Lab Maxx C search combos that people freaked out over like a year and a half ago before realizing they're dumb.

I think the main problem of this format is not Maliss being OMG OMG Tier -3 can't use my heckin Ash etc etc, but more than ever games are won only by handtraps and coinflips and not by skill and decks, especially against the most popular deck. Yeah its been heading that way for a long while. I try to avoid it as much as possible and still saw success, but the problem with Maliss is it feels like the fucking endpoint. Its really good against most standard HTs and it draws 3 cards minimum with a huge self-contained engine that is impossible to interact meaningfully with outside of just stopping them playing entirely.

Ever since runeterra died, I have been itching for a polish tcg to play online. No, I will not consider hearthstone or world's beyond.

I have been looking at Master Duel. I think every tcg player has some level of affinity to ygo and has an inner duelist. But I have never actually played he game other than dabbling with structure decks years ago.

Is it worth giving Master Duel a shot? I plan to play f2p and casually. Will I enjoy it or will the much complained about roadblocks and nature of the game just frustrate me so much so that I shouldn't bother trying.
Also, 'just try it and see for yourself' is not an answer.

White Binder, despite having some of her lower body exposed and the leotard, is more pretty than sexo because she's pretty modest in other places. Don't really like her stockings because they don't have transparency.
Red Ransom is just White Binder with different colors if Maliss in the Mirror is anything to go by, but she's somwhat less sexy because of her pose and facial expression. She doesn't give me this itch to make her emotionless face feel things.
Hearts Crypter and Chessy Cat are whatever.
Hare has decent legs thanks to her dress and acessories, and also the prettiest hairstyle of the bunch but nothing else.

I personally feel Terrahertz is overkill for the deck. The main Maliss monsters themselves can cause enough headaches to win games on their own, especialy when backed by a shitton of handtraps cause you draw like 15 cards. Plus, I'm playing Maliss to summon Maliss monsters, so having my endboard being the Maliss link monsters mostly, ocassionally being backed up by Apollousa, or Firewall Dragon is way more satisfying thematically than summining a bunch of Cyberse slop that's not even on theme.

It's gonna be rough but it's not impossible. I got into MD a couple years ago with only boomer 2008-ish yugioh knowledge and it wasn't as bad as I expected

Learning all the basic mechanics really isn't as difficult as people make out, Fusion/Synchro/XYZ/Links are all basically the same thing in different colours.
Choosing my first deck was a tough part imo just because you have no frame of reference for what you might enjoy but a bit of research and you'll be fine
Then the really difficult bit is just getting experienced. You need to know at least the basics of every playable deck you're gonna see on ladder so you can know how/when to interrupt them to stop their gameplan. So at first you will just be watching your opponent activating 30 cards per second with no idea what any of them do. This is the part where you really are just thrown in at the deep end, and ironically how generous the game is backfires because even in the bottom ranks people will already have top tier meta decks.

The in-game tutorial can only help you learn the basics. It's like playing chess while only kinda knowing how each piece moves, you will get stomped by anyone with even an ounce of strategy. If you want to play master duel even casually you pretty much have to watch videos, look at guides, and basically just put in a bunch of work to actually learn the game.

The monetization is actually decent in the game, you can craft any card in the game by dismantling any 3 cards of the same rarity, konami shits out free gems every month, even the battle pass can be bought with free gems and gives you back a full refund worth of gems when completed. if you are smart and play diligently you can easily keep up with the meta once you get started

The Structure Deck part of the guide is kind of outdated since currently there are better ones on the shop, and some were powercrept (example being Blue-Eyes where the current best version of the deck uses no cards from the Structure Deck). Everything else is mostly fine.
Dark Magician is viable. The combos are also pretty simple. On 10 Jul there will be an event where one of the loaner decks (prebuilt decks you can use for free) is Dark Magician, and a pretty decent one at that.
The strongest waifu deck currently is arguable since it depends if you are an unicorn and your tastes, but Maliss just recently released and is very strong. Though it's kinda hard to pilot as a new player so you will probably have to check spreadsheets, read guides or watch videos.

Oko was from Throne of Eldraine like a nearly decade ago. Did they unban it for the cowboy set or what? I stopped playing Magic after the woke fest that was the Phyrexia stuff.

Back when Oko got banned, the cosmetics for it, you could buy in the shop for a set amount. The actual card you had to pull for, but could be crafted with mythic wild cards. When it ckgot banned, if the card was in your collection, you were automatically given 4 mythic wild cards regardless of how many copies you had, AND you got to keep the card. If you spent gems on the cosmetics for it, well that was moreso you misusing gems, but every Banlist, they also gave a couple hundreds gems for free which sorta makes up for your investment too. But the cosmetics are a set price anyway, and you can only purchase them if you own the card in the first place. It's more like a "skin" for a card in your collection that costs a few hundred gems iirc.

That's true to an extent. All the ED summoning mechanics are similar in that they all send cards to the GY (except Xyz) to bring out an ED monster, but they all have differences that make them unique.

I'm not sure how you came to this conclusion but it's definitely not accurate. You need to learn what cards do so that you CAN figure out what to do with them, and also so that you know what your opponent is trying to do.

The feeling I get from the game is that it's more important to know how to get to 5, e.g. 2+3, than it is to know 2+3 gets you 5. There is a subtle difference. I think that's why learning combos seem so important in this game. You are working towards an outcome using 'combo pieces' more than actually maneuvering with the pieces themselves.

Reading the boardstate tells you so much less in this game compared to other tcgs.
I have never seen a tcg with this much effects triggered WHILE in non-displayed zones. And I have the luxury of glowing UIs. How do people learn this on paper?

So yes, the tutorial is bad too. I assumed chains worked like mtg's stack, but apparently not.
