It is now clear most high tier decks have one thing in common. Portal fuses artifacts and builds up puppets in their hand; Rune stacks up large spellboost values in their hand; Forest prepares as many 0 and 1 cost cards for optimal Roach value.
As full board clear is already omnipresent, the next step is clear to me: It is time to introduce hand disruption.
Shuffle the opponent's hand into the deck and make them redraw. Look at their hand and shuffle cards back. Crest that reduces the maximum hand size to 4. Evil Bellringer makes the opponent discard a card on fanfare and evo. Shuffle back the lowest or highest cost card in their hand.
Gone are the cost reduced cards. Gone are the fairies, puppets and gundam pieces. Maybe they will be even drawn later, diluting their deck with garbage.
As today no cards may remain on the board, tomorrow no cards will even remain in either player's hands.

Cerb is absurd, and if you have any way to make something stick when you drop her, it's an obscene amount of damage to face, or you can clear all but the biggest of boards while doing some good damage to their leader or healing up.
Medusa can't answer very wide boards on her own, but she can clear any 3 targets provided she can attack them.
Ceres is Dao bait, and very tricky to clear if you don't have bane or removal that bypasses barrier.
Mukan can clear any board that can be attacked with enough setup
I'll admit, the craft is in a rough spot if you're looking at their lower rarity cards, but...Abyss isn't a bad deck right now, and it won't take much support to get really strong.

If you play it right you will frequently go into grinds and win those grinds. That's one reason why some of them even include Satan. When you can kill them with Orchis into Orchis, that's great, but you don't actually need to see any of that. It's a deck that just "plays Shadowverse well". Also because it is so consistent at it, whenever the opponent's deck doesn't lineup perfectly (e.g. opponent misses Zirconia or Alouette on first evo turn etc), you instantly capitalize on it and start pushing damage, which makes death to Orchis inevitable.
The problem is that I still don't see the advantage of playing that sort of deck instead of a deck that just wins normally like Artifact. Games just take so fucking long and the deck doesn't have enough unfair things to deal with the opponents highrolling.

The point is really just that Forest tends not to be very frustrating to play against and you don't run into a lot of them so most people let it slide if they're the best. If forest gets gutted tomorrow, instead of everything in the tier list going up one slot, we might just see something that's super cancer jump to tier 0 out of nowhere. Like a hypothetical scenario where Haven realizes it doesn't have to respect roach anymore so some autist discovers a list that can consistently stay out above Albert kill threshold while setting up Jeanne OTK.
