They're getting a little to ambitious in the last few months with trying to push out way to many characters, overmarketing them, and then having their dumbass CC's who nobody except their most ardent cult followers from SEA takes seriously at this point try to shill the shit out of them like they're always some god tier character and everything is always an improvement even though anybody with common sense can see that's not the case. I never bought that shit with games like Genshin so why should I buy it here? It's fucking dumb.

I kind of want the game to go a little back to at least version 2.0 levels of marketing, character pairing pushing not being so aggressive, and just general story beats and vibes as well since IMO the 2.4 story quest was really mediocre and a rough introduction to Septimont cause somebody got it in their head that it would be a good idea to introduce a new cast of characters and region at the same time as pushing their big character of the version cycle with a rushed and convoluted false narrative story arc that just didn't hit much at all for me. Not everybody is as wowed by big action set pieces with vocal tracks playing over them as a climax that they'll overlook these things. They can really stand to chill a bit on the insert songs too unless it really fits the vibe. Once in a while for a major character is fine, but not every single character needs a shitty tie in song by some Tencent sponsored artist ever single story quest. Nobody gives a shit about this stuff other than react tubers and social media hype kids with nothing else to talk about honestly.

I don't know just haven't been liking the direction they've been taking in the last couple patches very much. 2.0-2.2 was fine and pretty unpretentious. Heck even 1.4.

It makes it feel like nobody genuinely gives a flying fuck about this game other than for drama/karma farming purposes anymore. Kuro Games can kind of kiss my ass a bit lately as well to be honest. I tolerated the shortened banner with Shorekeeper that was obviously meant to dry up players before the big anniversary fest. Mostly cause I got lucky and she and her weapon dropped super early. I tolerated the banner fest at anniversary and mediocre rewards cause it's sort of standard for anniversaries in JP gacha games to have them as a precedent. Again even though it was obviously to try to further dry people up before they put their big sentinel resonator character out.

Now 2.4 launches, they fucked up the grass implementation in Septimont to the point where it's all but confirmed by testing to be what's causing the lag a lot of people are getting and it has terrible pop in a lot of the time anyway so you can't even really see it at a distance even though it lags the game still since it's still trying to render it all the same. Gotta try to push the visuals though cause that's what gets a lot of the fanbase yapping and jerking off to the game. Now they rushed the fuck out of Act 6 and made it mostly about pushing an insert song for Tencent, and those stupid CC's are still clapping like seals for everything. If you try to raise these issues in most places you just get called a Hoyoshill by SEApags Kurobots, so again nobody seems to give a fuck really. I still have a few months of Lunite passes left from getting Carlotta's costume cause I do genuinely like that character (she's the reason I picked up the game) and it looked hot, but if they haven't gotten their head out of their asses a little bit by the time that's up I'm going F2P and may even just not be bothering with the game much anymore. I'm kind of getting tired of some of this shit. Like genuinely do better, don't just have your shill audience insist you are all the time Kuro.

If losing Mya wasn't good enough for you, you don't deserve "real stakes". She was a 4* in all but skirt and kit and had a pivotal role in the story as a direct reflection to Lupa AND Cartethyia. Plus retards are thinking this all about Kuro not wanting to commit for soft narrative reasons, when the reality is, that of course they won't develop an entire character (especially a 5* like Lupa) to throw all that work into the bin after one update, only because killing off a major character is apparently the one hallmark of quality storytelling for some people. Farming materials counts as doing daily in terms of getting rolls and most battlepass stuff, so it's the only thing you'll do (outside of once a week doing a slightly longer variant that is a simple roguelike). This Banners Never Fall is one of the best events Kuro has ever made. It's fun as fuck running around Septimont (which is also the best area Kuro has ever made) duking it out with souped-up enemies, dealing millionsn of damage per attack, hunting for chests. Also feels generous with how often the event showers you with Astrites.

I do wish it was was harder though. For something claimed to be high-level, the Glory buffs were too busted.

I already got the sword and the gun which I gave to my characters but the others don't seem that interesting since they don't have crit rate stats.
