Not quite: quick melee was abbreviated combo chains, so only 2ish attacks in the chain, so there were a solid number of stances where none of those several quick melee attacks would root you. It's often the third attack in the chain that slows you down. For example, I distinctly remember using rapiers a lot because of that property, but now they feel glacial because they keep stopping me in place.

That definitely works, but it's tough to do precisely with buffed attack speed and results in a lot of dead time regardless. Something similar happened in the upgrade from Vermintide 1 to 2, where the 2h hammer used to just have 2 overhead vertical smashes for its light attacks, but VT2 added a third attack that was a horizontal smack.

Equinox has a lot of hypothetical power, but her play pattern is abysmal dogshit. One or two casting speed shards is mandatory because all of her casting animations are long and full body. for some godawful reason she has to choose between nuking and strong shield gating. Energy Transfer is mandatory if you want to use both forms, although a lot of people choose not to. Mend (night form 4) can heal allied operatives, and Maim (day form 4) can kill enemies at very high range through walls, so a hybrid build is very good for archon defense. That's kind of awkward though, because you're always activating, resetting, and reactivating a million channeled abilities. It's been a while so I don't remember why I made some of these decisions with the build, except that I only put in 1 forma for the second energy colour.

This is just because Warframes AI is so horrendous that it's borderline nonfunctional 9/10 of the time. The fast movement pacing hides this somewhat, but it becomes very noticeable when it's directly affecting a frame's damage potential, as in the case of summoner frames. Unless the area is wide open and flat, the AI is simply not capable of handling things; it's a relic of 2013, when the gameplay was similarly paced like other shooters and the AI didn't need to think about verticality or about what to do when a player can travel at nearly supersonic speeds.

The potential of Drifter gameplay is something that will always frustrate me. The new war starts with you getting to play as a Grineer and then a Corpus, and then a Dax. THEN you play as a Drifter. These are four unique playstyles that you get to taste before learning that the Drifter is a tenno who doesn't have void powers because of timeline shit.
Now maybe I was alone in this, but it SEEMED like they were setting up for the Drifter to be able to use different faction abilities (e.g. the playstyles demonstrated before) via skill trees in a manner similar to the way the tater has a focuses.

It depends on what you're using her for, but she has good base health and armor. I use her as a health tank with coda hirudo to stay alive and subsumed Pillage over 1 for status clear/gating on harder enemies. Get her augment, then throw on some Gladiator mods for hp/armor, adaptation, and you're sufficiently tanky. Koumei also uses most of the Archon mods, as she inflicts every status.
As long as you have something to punch, you'll never die.

i point my kaithe down and flap to go faster than anyone else. i reach the wyrm and with quick inputs i can lock in each ring, hopping from one to the next before they are finished turning. if you have a strong weapon you can destroy the glowing rings during the fight or take a bit longer and track it as it circles the arena. the game offers a pity archgun which comes in handy if you dont have a hitscan weapon. during the Kaithe phase, dont get on the kaith. take your hitscan weapon or archgun and go to the outer ring and keep jumping so you dont get damage from the cold. shoot all the wyrms and end the segment quickly. You still have the archgun for the next ring phase and baby wyrm phase

i farmed all the arcanes and weapons from duviri, it was the most enjoyable farming experience because of how varied things can be. id usually be done with sp experience in around 30-35 minutes, doing only 3 arcane portals, 3-4 little side objectives to reach 7 decrees. 3 arcanes, 24 pathos clamps, and steel essence.
one of the more fun aspects was learning along the way how to complete the mission faster than anyone else, and teach each squad i was with how to do it, so they didnt have to waste time doing undercroft missions.

I already own all the duviri melees and kullervo I dont think im gonna bother with this event anymore now that I got all the arcanes and multiple fucking dupes of oraxia stuff.

I know I might end up regretting this later but I feel like most of the incarnons are fucking garbage and not worth getting. I got like 400+ pathos clamps anyways.

Every piece of equipment can be earned for free via grinding, and even most cosmetics can be earned for "free" via trading the premium currency called platinum. Grinding Oraxia requires finishing all the current story, though. If you're so new that you don't even know how to get stuff for free, you're still pretty far away from getting Oraxia for free.

If you buy Oraxia, you can use her wherever you want. Storywise, every warframe that we use is a copy of the original, so there's no story constraints what characters you use. There's one exception that might be a reconstruction instead of a copy, but it's been a while since I've played that quest so I don't remember the exact phrasing and implications of what was said.

There's so much fucking horizontal progression in Warframe. In fact, recently there's actually been a trend where new players get told to rush the story, then they can't complete any of the endgame content because they didn't do enough side content to get vertical progression pieces. You'll see a lot of bitching in the thread about lack of content, but those posts are made by like 4k hour veterans with no hobbies other than Warframe.

That's like saying once you max all your skills to lvl 99 in runescape there's nothing to do. This is a grinding game, the point is to unlock new warframes and weapons. There's always something to do. That being said, yeah if you bought every frame with plat then that would be retarded. But if you really want oraxia then it would be fine buying her since she's the newest frame and unlocking her for free requires doing end-game content and being fully caught up on all quests.
Buying one frame to get you a head start is totally fine and yes you'll be able to play with her in almost all content and quests (there's a gamemode that forces RNG loadouts but it's only a small part of the game). Also oraxia is actually pretty good and versatile so she's a pretty good choice.
