If you're talking about Tazuna or Aoi, yes you should always have one of them on your deck. You use their dates instead of resting for guaranteed energy + mood up and avoid night owl altogether. look at the whole chart. it shows what players are likely to have. it's incredibly rare to end up with a 3lb card because if you're getting multiple copies you should have saved enough to MLB instead. it's common to get a 0 or 1 star just by rolling casually, 3 star means you saved up a lot but for some reason blew your load on a banner before you actually saved enough to 4 star, which is just about the worst thing you can do. also there will be items to fill in missing stars on any card in the future, and obviously you use that on your 3 stars.

clocks become a critical resource later, you got a ton for free right away but that never happens again for the entire history of the game. you will get a very slow trickle of them and past that need to rely on the 1 free use a day.
outside of the 1 free use a day, only use clocks to mitigate bad RNG. if your horse is very likely to win but they got boxed in and can probably avoid it next time, use a clock. if your horse has bad stats and needs a miracle, don't waste 3 clocks on a prayer.

Yes, max dupe SRs will be stronger than 0 dupe SSRs for quite a while so rolling on any support banner is great starting out
The issue with not rolling 200 in one go is that the "spark value" is wasted and the clovers it turns into are very low value in the shop, so save to 200 (shouldn't be hard with the freebies they're giving out) and then dump it onto a decent SSR support card to grab while filling your roster with SRs

You use the gems in 1 of 2 ways. You roll as you get the gems and use whatever you get, or you save until you can guarantee an MLB and then roll. You do not roll on kitasan black because that banner is timed in a way where even if you saved from day 1, you will only get to like 60% chance of getting the card MLB'd, which is awful because it means 40% chance of you getting something unusable and having no gems to get anything else.

If you spend as you get gems, you will always have cards worth using.

If you save for an MLB then use it all to get an MLB, you will be in a great position in about 1.5 months or so (since that's the 1st banner you can guarantee on)

If you blow it all on Kitasan Black right now you're going to have to wait until approx the 1st anniversary of the game in JP time, when it has a rerun. in IRL time that's likely 6 or 7 months of your account being gimped behind the other 2 ways to do it.

From what I understand, Kitasan is a great general support card and in the future there will be a bunch broken support card but their effects are hyper specific. So instead of borrowing an MLB Kita everytime and pulling for multiple hyper specific support cards, it's cheaper to just have your own MLB Kita and use your support slot to borrow those cards depending on which one you need.
