Rsham is probably the second easiest healer to learn and the skill ceiling on it is not that high, it's a very reasonable first time healer. MW has a much higher skill ceiling but on the flipside for 90% of content you can honestly just get away with fistweaving like an ape never doing anything beyond letting teachings go where they go and you'd be fine and even going into twelves or whatever you'd transition to learning "sometimes I have to cast on people or set up ramps".

Caring about healer dps is a meme. Half the healers in the game (Hpal, MW, Disc) already having dps converted to healing resources as a core part of their design and the more traditional casters usually have like two buttons tops you're pressing if you feel the need to dps. If you go into a key and play resto shaman 80% of your total dps is going to be the passive acid rain damage from your healing rain and when you get bored and want to dps you're just spamming chain lighting over and over again for 2% of the groups total dps output.

There's a minor annoyance in heirloom scaling the you level so fast to begin with that the annoyance of actually upgrading heirlooms is worse than just rocking sub 200ilvl pieces to cap. toes is pretty bad, it's 3 add fights followed by a good fight that is so long it has a mid-fight checkpoint where you just get god-mode in p1 once you reach it.
Like I genuinely cannot think of a fight I remember people hating doing each week as much as lei shi.

HoF is kino outside of the very first "This is a vehicle control fight and you will randomly wipe to it being someone's first or 2nd time getting to do the vehicle mechanic where they wipe the raid if they mess up" and queen is a cool fight where you deal with all of the mechanics by juts overhealing like crazy (like this was literally a fight people 4 healed on 10H)
Also Wind Lord is really bad, like wind lord feels like fighting harbinger in vanilla. First half of the raid owns.

During the release versions of those first 2 raids, dps and hps balances were at an all time low and tanks were so op they were running around using dragon soul 2p to help the raid live.

I think where they really started to go wrong is when they started trying to weave together a narrative that moved from expansion to expansion instead of expansion specific storylines, or even stories that just got left at specific zones and that's it. Vanilla, TBC, Wrath, ect. were all very self contained for the most part, and even though the lore was shit in some ways more than others, it still worked. When you work from that angle the writing doesn't need to exactly be 'good'. Just have some cool moments, make a good antagonist, and that's about it. But the minute you try to have a story where you need to thread together a multitude of plot points and characters, the writing needs to actually be competent.
