If you like space travel, Elite: Dangerous is pretty good. Questionable future and co-op is "get your own damn friends" if you want to do anything. And all the systems like in-game chat are pretty shit. But the theme and setting are okay. Had its own big "defend Earth" thing back in December when an alien mothership warped into Earth's orbit and started fucking everything up and is sort of in a cooldown period. But it's a fun lore dive.

HMG and Grenade Launcher are perfectly fine, they've each had pretty big ammo capacity buffs so if you're running out of ammo on them then it's not their fault. Ammo shouldn't be a problem with the colony tileset anyways, literally ammo boxes all over the goddamned shop.

In any case, HMG should be your go-to. It kills Fleshmobs good, usually only requires half a mag at most, and makes light work of Overseers and Stingrays. It can easily collapse the shields on Warp Ships and Harvesters, and shred the Harvester afterward as well. All you need is a good primary to keep Voteless off your back long enough to reload.

Shooting the vents requires you to get within an angle where you can hit the door or vent, and then angle your shot so that it ricochets off the upper shaft into the Fabricator itself. Simply shooting it with an AT weapon from any direction or sticking a Thermite to a wall takes significantly less effort.

While HD2 has a number of problems, it's not a game where you have to have "the best gear". Player agency, understanding enemy weaknesses, and game mechanics go a lot further than some arbitrary player level. Of course, much of that knowledge can be generally measured by playtime, but it's not necessarily indicative of such knowledge.

My prediction for the near future of this game is that the bot supercities will be added shortly before, alongside or shortly after the Xbox launch and then there'll be a move towards a second Super Earth invasion in order to capture the same lightning in the bottle with a renewed playerbase.

I think the majority of Force of Law being hot ass really killed my motivation to dive.

Also, SEAF would get dunked on by bots. Base Liberators work OK against squids, but against bots the rare few EATs SEAFs carry is completely inadequate. Devestators and Reinforced striders alone would wreck SEAF troopers.

I think the recent event gave out 100 Aquilla? You need 1200 for one costume for one class. They may do one or two of these events a year. In 6 years, you can get ONE new outfit for ONE class IF you participate in every single event along the way. Have fun with that.

Maybe they'll change this in the future, but I doubt it. They don't use a battle pass or anything like that, so all the money comes in from DLC or premium currency. All the money comes from fans who want to support the game. They're living on the goodwill of the player base. They're lucky the Arbites DLC was well received. At least they offer up some nice upgrades if you're a penance chaser, but the Arbites kinda got shafted in the costume department with the in-game currency shop. The hardest content this game has had in months was the Super Earth "Repel Invasion" missions in pubs against Squids. I might have accidentally killed him once more shortly after just wanted to equip my own gear in peace get off my case. Afterwards he did go on that comically intense tantrum over his bruised ego and I essentially calmly kept telling him nothing of value was lost and he can't do anything about it. As soon as he tried to take revenge the host removed him and we had a laugh. I really think the experience traumatized RRsis a good bit though.

R63 is one of the most ammo efficient primaries in the game and thrives in any loadout. DCS is the complete opposite. managing its ammo is rough. it's easiest if you take a sidearm as well as a very efficient support weapon like LC or AC. otherwise only supply pack helps. the mag size can be played around though imo, just do tactical reloads. as for using medpen well you need to get yourself in positions where it helps, like flanking heavy devs, tapping down gunships, fagstrider chin guns, and massively distant targets that need falloff taken into account.
