I just finished base rise, and going into sunbreak, but damn, I did not know that rise was sooo bad in terms of story and settings, the gameplay is amazing, loving the skills and stuff, but the main game story left me "is that it? Is that magnamalo? And that's ibushi and narwa?" like sorry, why did we hunt magnamalo? Looking back, why was the Alatreon hate train allowed to run for so long? The more time passes the less coherent it seems in retrospect. Why did the prospect of hanging up the raging brachy weapons infuriate so many people? Why did people treat the word "elemental" like an insult? Why did they pretend not to have dozens of ele weapons stockpiled from Safi/Kulve runs? When Alatreon dropped I slapped on Safi armor, upgraded a Safi ice GS and got to slinger bursting no problem. >>530467104It's not really a bad fight. I wouldn't call it amazing but it's not bad. Assuming you're not using dogshit weapons for whatever reason you just hit his fin when he comes around and after a few hits he pops out of the sand and every move other than tail spin is incredibly easy to dodge. You do that a few times and that's it. If you're one of those retards chasing him around like a moron instead of realizing he goes in a circle and waiting for him to come to you then that's on you for being unintelligent. It's even easier with sonic bombs because you don't need to hit the fin and pop him out you just throw the bomb. That's the portable version though in mainline he's more annoying because for whatever reason they tweaked his AI to just dive right back into the sand if you don't immediately hit him within a microsecond of him being out of the ground.
