You still go BB because you have to choose between BB or Smite to get to the most OP node in the entire psyker tree and you will generally get more use out of BB than smigging at the higher levels of play. I think Assail is fine though and is the most fun blitz they have, it's great for shredding a gorillion shooters and light elites when get spammed at you, but I almost exclusively play gunpsyker memebuilds when I play the class and I don't do that in high Havoc.

I don't play Havok a ton so maybe it's just me but I find it odd not very many people seem to run Nuncio Aquila. In my experience it really seems to come in handy when there's a horde. Everyone either seems to run Castigator or Break The Line. Castigator seems like a largely selfish and BTL is kinda handy, knocking enemies on their ass for the squad. Putting down a nuncio helps the whole team though.

I grab True Grit for Havocs just because it's more likely things will go wrong in them, and it's not out of the way. Ignore people poo-pooing you for running it in Havocs. You're better of spending 3% of your talent points on something you may not use in a game than ending up needing it and starting a wipe because you fucked up or got screwed and didn't have it.
I also don't run the 75% cleave on push talent in Aurics.

Did some testing
1. Dog no longer applies bleed when flying through enemies, it only bleeds the target, and other enemies around it if it stuns them when it pounces a target. So if a target is big like a mutant, it will not pounce it but will bite it instead, and the bite will not bleed surrounding enemies (but they can get stunned). And even if it pounces a target next to a crusher, crusher will not bleed because pounce is not strong enough to stun him.
2. Dog bonuses don't apply but your own damage bonuses do apply. I can see a small bump in bleed damage when I use break the line, but a lot less than 25%, must be because of other bonuses in the tree.
3. For whatever reason, base bleed damage from dog seems oddly high, 16 stacks bleed from bolt pistol is weaker than 8 stacks bleed from dog. I don't know what's the issue here, seems like tree bonuses don't apply to bolter bleed but do apply to dog bleed? Swedish math is complicated.
