The limitation of the games engine is not something to blame the splash art for, it translates decently into the wild rifts preview models atleast, also riots 3d models do not have crazy textures to apply everything a splash might provide like metallic materials/textures

It wouldn't be as hard if you have a minimum threshold of lp you must gain, in League terms that threshold seems incredibly low and one can only guess it could even lower. You should be taking a minimum of 20lp and not lose more than 25, then the difference of loss and gain could be adjusted based on your performance. Good cs? +1lp. Good number of assists? +1lp. Participated in an objective? +1lp. It's not free of flaws that's for sure, it looks a lot less flawed than the system we have now.
