Wow, Pride EGOs tend to get fucked over hard in the resistance department. As in, there's no way for you to patch out these affinity resistances except with a different EGO.

Found the average resistances granted by every EGO organized by that EGO's attack affinity. Weighted by risk level (WAWs have more affect on the average than Zayins for example).

Mostly did this to see which sin "get along" better. Found some funny results like Wrath tending to being neutral-resistant to Gluttony but Gluttony getting fucked up by Wrath EGOs.
Wonder how well this lines up with sin peccatulum resistances?

People forget the game is still mostly a mobile game.
Of course the design gets completely slapped out of the way when you throw E.G.O at something troublesome. It might have been designed to be fought carefully using certain IDs, but if you slap it with enough E.G.O in a turn or two, it's gimmick completely falls apart or can't keep up.

Because it's a mobile game. It has a PC client but the entire UI screams, is, for a mobile game.
Believe me, Kim would have made it infernally hard if it wasn't a mobile game and therefore, needs to be mostly win rateable while occasionally having filters so people don't just get to the latest story chapter with base IDs with no E.G.O.
The whole point of the difficulty spikes is making people grind for IDs and E.G.O for the occasional "fuck you" moment.
Also because those moments are a great incentive for people to pull in hopes that they get something busted that makes them capable of turning their brain off yet again after the boss.

It's largely in reading the skills but as someone who came back to the game late last season and had to run the gauntlet of cantos 3-7 let me tell you that the game primes new players to NOT read. There's so many passives and skills and ultimately just boil down to "win the clash and this doesn't matter." Oh, you're being diligent and actually want to read up on this enemy? Fuck you, you do not get to see what they do until you see the move. It's a frustrating experience because on top of that, the focused encounters are absolute filler garbage that cannot be made hard, and if it is, it get nerfed instantly (Mao fight in the intervallo). If you have an open-ended don't expect that your answers will get read, and least of all by the person that would need to see that feedback. It can be hard because if you're trying to create a hard fight and it's filtering the casuals, which are the base of your story-driven game do you cave or do you keep to your original vision? Same thing with the likes of MD skipping; do we make it more player friendly or do we keep it as is to keep engagement up for shareholders/because that's what will retain people according to our psychologists?
