then, one day, he passed. and in her grief, another strange thing happened: the afternoon following his funeral, when she was sat at his work table crying the hardest, massive, razor sharp shards of ice exploded outward from within the home, splintered the wood from the inside, and collapsed the entire bakery. terrified, she abandoned it and spent a year on the road alone as a wanderer, and eventually as a thief, until she arrived by chance at ul'dah, with her pockets full of other people's stolen things.
In Ul'dah she learned of thaumaturgy, and a lot of confusing things about her past clicked into place. She tried to live quietly after that, but her time as a thief made her enemies who still recognize her large eyes. Sometimes she bakes, but the smell of fresh bread makes her ugly-cry. Random hroths remind her of him. She's never cared to meet her biological parents, whose abandonment gave her subconscious issues that she still isn't fully aware of.
