They just made the explosion do more damage as a band-aid. The thermite DoT, the thing that should actually be delivering damage, the thing that was always broken, still doesn't work right.
Hulks were one of the targets that thermites were extremely inconsistent or outright non-functional against. If you shoot both arms off of a hulk with a commando the 80% damage transfer to main delivers a total of 1760 damage to the main HP, leaving it on as little as 40 HP. Thermites are supposed to do 150 DPS with their DoT, meaning it should near instantly kill a hulk in this scenario ..except it doesn't kill the hulk with the DoT, you need to wait for the explosion to finish it off. A single reprimand shot to the heatsink after taking off both arms with a commando is enough to push it over to 0, but the thermite DoT can't.

Everyone moans about the fact patrols seem to know your location at all times, hd1 had patrols everywhere to the point it was almost impossible to avoid them unless you had the distractor stratagem or killed them fast enough. You're too inflexible. The devs need to make the game appeal to players that like playing in duos and triples too. HD1 level 9, 10, and above required full teams and if anyone wanted to traverse the map they needed to convince the other players they shared a screen with to go that way. HD2 other players can wander off but need to be able to defend themselves long enough to regroup with teammates. I hosted almost every mission I played in HD1 so no one but me could decide what to do first unless they want a kick. HD2 I allowed splitting but mention teams of two or the buddy system.

Optimization is not required in lower count lobbies, in fact it's retarded.
In a four man it's mandatory, but that's balanced out by the fact you have more boosters to pick from.
