New players should be using clocks because (1) they're learning and you gotta experience to learn, and that includes late-game, and (2) they don't have built accounts yet. Someone going down a clock a day while they're using level 6 R cards is going to be fine going up clocks on most days instead when they're using level 50 SSR cards.
