I think we should move all the tanks except mag, strange, and groot over to the duellist role, and all the strategists except Luna, Invisible Woman, and CnD into the duellist role. You see the vast majority of players who play this game are duellist mains, so it makes sense for them to have the highest number of characters. People who play tanks and supports will flex anyway regardless of the characters they have to select from. We’ve this in many games before. Adding more tanks and strategists will not increase tank and support player counts. Plus duellists are easier to design. The devs should just focus on realising duellists from this point onwards since that’s what the player base (mostly duellists) demand. They will sell more skins this way. Plus there’s nothing stopping you from playing the new duellist characters. We as a community are getting new characters. We’ll be able to enjoy them together. You see I’m a smart guy. I never complain because I can rationalise why certain decisions are made by the dev team. I trusts the devs. They always cook.

Tanks won't need to worry too much about that being an issue - a good chunk of Marvel's bigger characters are some flavor of big tanky guy anyway, especially their villains, and they'll need almost no changes to do that. They could honestly pump out a tank a month for the next couple of years just from poaching X-Men villains.
Supports are always gonna be a problem though. They've had to twist almost every single character in the support roster into a pretzel to make them work as healers because most comic characters just don't go around healing people (besides Dagger I guess).

CnD stays the same. Their ult applies healing to allies and damage to enemies.

For mantis, we give her the healing + damage boost to allies instead of rocket, since that’s her gameplay gimmick.

For Luna, we move the slow effect from invisible woman’s ult and apply it to her ult since she’s ice themed, but we turn down the healing output on the ult to be more in line with mantis.

For rocket, we remove the damage boost, and up the healing output on his ult. his will definitively do the move healing out of every healing ult because you’re able to destroy the beacon quite easily.

For invisible woman, since the slow is now Luna’s thing, we’ll instead have her healing circle surrounded by force fields each with a small amount of individual HP, that you have to shoot down before you can start shooting into the circle. That way you capture both invisibility and shields in her ult.

So it turns out the reason Jean and Blade are DPS is because most of the dev team are DPS instalockers. They’re designing characters for themselves and not the community. One of them is a tank main so he’s been able to convince the others to let tanks have a few good heroes here and there but strategists unfortunately have no support amongst the dev team.

it's true, him being a cuck for Susan is a meme and all but there's genuinely competent and beloved variants of Namor around. take the new Ultimate Universe for example, where he's unfortunately already dead when we first see him, but he was unjustly overthrown and executed as part of a coup. but despite that happening literal decades ago, his corpse lays on a pedestal unchanged, not just because of his impervious skin but because even the microbes in the sea refuse to feast on his body out of respect to their fallen and one true king. it was a great insight in an otherwise okay comic, how respected and beloved he was and how Steve held him in high regard during the WW2 days.
