For some reason, the film coverage company that did the interview (where Fowler says Shadow is faster than Sonic and Stronger than Knuckles and almost as smart as Tails) delisted it before reuploading it without that specific clip. I'm guessing the comments got angry.
That same line is likely still in the Blu-ray release of the film and it is also in the Jim Carrey interviews. But Fowler specifically making that claim has been scrubbed from the internet. The only evidence I can find that he ever said it are screenshots from sthg posters making jokes about it.

Sonic Adventure and Sonic Adventure 2 were extremely ambitious. Sonic Adventure 2 is a much, much, much more robust game internally than SA1. I cannot stress that enough. It is much more flexible in every conceivable way, and it is really impressive how much Sonic Team improved on in such a short time frame. But it is still obviously based on SA1 and shares a lot of infrastructure, albeit greatly improved
The main lighting issues SA2B has are the inability to draw the DC versionโs shadows and specular lighting, which affects a lot of stuff (GUN robots, Shadowโs shoes, possible Sonicโs jaw even).

Either way, both Shadow and Blaze are kind of a 'Sonic'. Shadow a mirror Sonic, Blaze an opposite Sonic. Just as Shadow is bound to Maria's wish, Blaze is bound to her kingdom. It's central to their identity and what they live for, yet it places such a burden on the both of them. Maybe you could do something with that shared sense of duty. Or even their natural connections to their respective sets of emeralds.
Among Shadow crackships I'd say Shadaze is one of the better ones. It's just difficult to write two very introverted characters, I suppose.

And guess what? You've just reinvented Pendersfaggotry. The fact of the matter is that the source material did not enough meat to properly support an adaptation until at least Adventure. Which is why Sonic X took the incredibly smart decision to take numerous creative liberties (some even riffing on the saturday morning show, like how they depicted the power rings) while primarily focusing on a loose adaptation of Adventure 2. The adventure games not being narratively rich is the same reason we see so many creative liberties taken with the third movie. This story just isn't that interesting to general audiences. But none of you are willing to admit that the type of stories that (debatably) work for games do not make for good television. Sonic Adventure 2 is a fucking hot mess of a story carried by game play allowing the audience to feel immersed within it. And even then, it suffers from tonal whiplash and constant PoV shifts that make it hard on the general audience to appreciate.

But, realistically, there SHOULD be some conflict between Amy and Knuckles by the simple fact that Amy is Sonic-like in personality but much more hot-headed. Knuckles is Sonic's opposite, including being hot-headed, and isn't good with women, so Knuckles and Amy should clash quite a lot for the same reason Knuckles clashes with Rouge. But since Amy is, again, sweet and friendly by nature, and Knuckles is a very honest and trusting person, it shouldn't be that bad.
