Yes, always keep fully charged drill pocketed.

Try this: fly above people and downslam them, then launch your drill after the downslam. You can catch people a lot more reliably that way. Don't bother trying it against light mechs since they have good stagger recovery, just drill them directly.

In general you should not be trying to drill people who are aware of you. Always hit from a flank or behind. Ideally you have melee on your team which can hitstun them, and then you drill them out of the other melee stun.

You can also learn how to drill fliers and aquila. If nobody else is around to deal with them, that duty falls to panther.

Inferno's damage is fine. The problem with this striker is that he's basically a melee unit with no gap closer and no survival tools, in the 3v3 mode it's not that big of a deal but in 6v6 it becomes a problem, haven't tried mashmak with inferno but it feels suicidal

I recommend you watch how the best players use the flight mech. If you use them properly it doesn't matter how much shit they throw at you they will barely hit you if at all. Even the skyraider need a break for energy but the fast landing + boost cancel solve a lot of that on top of saving energy with slow loops. Now melee is complicated and I don't have that much experience myself dealing with it when it comes but basically spam dash if they get you and do loops or a fast landing to confuse them. Usually it works.

It'll make Hurricane more favorable too for blocking bullets/ranged, Welkin is for locking someone's movement down

Make the sniper mode simply not lock on. If you want to play a lock-on sniper: Aquila should be your pick. Having an elusive long range sniper like Narukami not have any downsides and also autoaim is not good for the game.

In general the game needs to tone down the all-around brawlers (the characters that are fast, strong, good teamfights, good objectives and good solo, good killers with good survivability).
Balance should be in what a Mech can't do, not what it can do

Luminae main myself, if you're being chased by 5 guys without burgers and fries they still shouldn't be able to keep up with you very easily if at all. At most, maybe a Falcon and you can kill one in about 2 clips of your drones in corruption mode. Falcon players at lower ranks generally think they're invincible thanks to the spiral or aerial maneuvers but if you just pop your 1 while in corruption mode and fly at them, you'll fuck their entire screen up and they won't be able to shoot you anyway which'll lead them to boost away for easy pickings. This works on almost everybody in the game if you've got the time/balls for it too. Lumi's generally pretty good at fucking up squishier mechs and buying stupid amounts of time, play it aggressively with corruption mode, know how to manage your boost consumption and balance that with wings, and you'll be surprised at what you can get away with. Definitely not beating 5 guys provided even one of them is on par with you in terms of skill, but even consistently being able to pull two or three of them is enough to get you to GM. I've 1v1'd and 1v2'd all of the ones you've mentioned there on Luminae, it's a pain in the ass and you're going to hate life but a lot of people just assume you're some uwu egirl healer when you can outspeed literally anything in the game with Luminae's 2 and rapid boosting with the essentially infinite energy generation. Not even a Welkin holding boost melee can actually catch you, let alone a Stellaris or Panther with their combos, and none of those are going to be able to keep up with you vertically either. With Stellaris, he genuinely dies in about two rotations of your drones and they keep him marked so even if he stealths you can track him. Your drones also hit through Panther's energy shield so you can absolutely fight back. The trick to Aquila or Narukami is just never being in their direct line of sight or playing around cover before you ruin their fucking day by popping wings and blinding them with the corruption mist while blasting them every so often to put the fear of god in them.

I get that very same feeling even while playing with my friends sometimes because they're off being 1v5'd by a decent Narukami or Aquila. I'd recommend going in with other anons or friends so you have at least one (1) person you can rely on to keep the pressure off of you, but in solo queue it's just the luck of the draw and you're more often than not going to get fucked. But with how rank loss prevention works, you'll inevitably climb even if it's miserable. If something absolutely fucking sucks, mentally tune out or try messing around a bit to see if you can at least learn something new or try something different that you wouldn't do normally, and just remember that there's always another game to be had after that (probably) can't be worse than the one you're currently in. You don’t get the luxury of sitting back and showering enemies with gifts the higher you climb. The fact of the matter is Stego is not a self-sufficient mech because if it's left alone you will kill everything, so the enemy must deal with you immediately or die. Knowing this you need to play into team comp more, I would not pick Stego unless there's another ultra there to buddy system with. Yeah seems like Stego's just fucked right now, in previous betas people would always just run it with Tricera and create a bullshit fortress of death that only Pinaka could deal with until Pinaka itself got nerfed, so they ran rampant. Inferno was basically inaccessible for most folks and Serenith wasn't in the game yet back then either so that was a miserable fucking time. I do hope we get some balance changes sooner rather than later, maybe something like giving Stego something similar to Tricera's shield system with how it parries melees from all directions rather than directly ahead? these points are from nuking POIs (enemy bases), they're all marked on the map. you don't get points for surviving (you do lose points for dying however), you get points for killing NPCs. i usually clear about five and a half bases per run, and pick off whatever's left at the end. ironically though a lot of medium extractors spawn closer to the end, around the edges of existing storms, so it's worth sticking around until the final extract is taken

Depends if you prefer to take ammo air drops over repair. Every Luminae or Pinaka I've seen take modular weapons to help with damage, you just repair between reloads or until you're in weapon range. It's better to use your energy refresh for as little time as possible, its minimum cooldown is 3 seconds and can give you infinite energy if used properly. WIth infinite energy inferno is extremely slippery and can kite most strikers. use your small lasers to poke enemies or clear trash and your big laser to finish of low enemies or blast immobile targets. only use your charge shot to snipe people or finish off enemies, your shotguns do insane damage
