Whenever a survivor goes near one it can be triggered to release, releasing the gas in a 30m vicinity around it's location. Only 3 canisters can go off at a time. If a survivors laughter goes up a tier, they will suffer from hindered. There are 3 tiers of laughter each tier increases the hindered effect by 5%. Survivors can go down a tier by deactivating one of the canisters.

The toxin coated on your weapon confuses your prey's nervous system, causing them to burst out laughing when feeling pain.
Whenever a survivor is injured they will scream every 7/6/5 seconds, revealing their position.
All debuff effects while a survivor is injured are increased by 10 seconds

When all generators are completed this hex activates.
For each survivor left alive after the gens are done, gain a 5% haste bonus
All survivors have their aura revealed until the gates are open

All chest items are tier 1 and completely depleted
For every chest searched in the match there's a 2% increased chance skill checks will go in the reverse direction

It's ultimately a philosophy problem from bhvr same as slugging.
1. they still wont admit that the game is 1v4 not 1v1v1v1v1
2. they still wont address solo survivor being much weaker and many perks in the game simply not being good unless you're in a swf
3. they still use perks as bandaid fixes for issues with the game instead of addressing the issue (this applies to killers as well)

The solo perks that are supposed to stop tunneling and slugging aren't very good in practice and are very easy to play around for the killer against solo players and you'd need to buff something to be insanely strong to actually do that like how old DS was which of course is completely broken and abusable by a SWF. The perks that are actually good against those things like WGLF, Babysitter, teamwork perks, shoulder the burden, etc require a survivor to use them on another survivor with no direct benefit to themselves so expecting solos to use them isn't a reasonable solution.

I do think it would be much healthier to not have addons but rather have basically 2-4 sub-types you could just pick from. nemesis can just pick the fast zombies build or the faster mutation build so you didn't need to spend an iri + purple on the fun build instead of just always running the boring "cheaper" build.

Did Behavior seriously think Springtraps were going to chase someone, land an axe hit, then just abandon the chase and not only expect this to be in any way efficient but also expect that survivor to not begin removing the axe immediately and instead run and find help? I feel this about a lot of stuff. Like it's like £4 to get a new survivor with their three perks, but like £10 for a cosmetic, very strange.

Is there an easy way or some direction I can take to teach my friend who is very new to the game how to play? I bought it for them from the summer sale and it's hard for them to grasp the basic concept of looping both as killer and survivor. Pallets are non existent in his brain and runs right past gens and he doesn't see survivors when playing killer. Any advice would be nice.

First of all, force him to take Bond + Kindred. He can have whatever other 2 dogshit clown perks his noob brain tells him to equip, but these two are free, crucial for learning the game, and help with not being permanently lost, useless, and eventually bored with DBD to the point of giving up.

Teach him where to put his eyeballs. Generators have lights that stick high up so they're easy to spot, teammates have activity icons, etc.

Next, turn him into a genrush bot. He should know the basic fundamental that the Killer can only chase one guy at a time. Proxy camping is when you're hanging around nearby the hook with the full intent of getting a free down on the unhooker, or even to continue tunelling the unhooked. too long cooldowns and map has to allow him to get hits so he's just has long chases no matter what if he uses his power and his teleport is so easily dealt with and mid. They should make the weakened dispel time and his cooldown significantly shorter so chases are constant uvx attempts and dodges and hits. rather than sitting and holding a survivor at a pallet waiting for the power to come off cooldown.

I’ve found that’s unironically the best way to him. You’ll never be able to secure a stalk on good players and you’ll end up wasting a whole minute trying to pull it off when you would’ve been better off just m1ing off the rip and chasing to break pallets. His perks are really good too for m1 chases one of his exhausts whoever spots him for 10 seconds so no speed bursts and another makes that person oblivious to the killer when spotted for a minute as well.

For some reason my self care escape rate is super high. I guess I must die a lot in endgame because that's 90% of my usage of it. My Adrenaline escape rate is good too though both are low pickrates so some amount of luck factors in.
