It's honestly laughable how horrible Ginsetsu is. 9 playpoint, mediocre effects, no evo or super evo. I genuinely don't understand what's even idea behind this card and their vision for the Abyss. Unless their vision is that abyss just have to stay dogshit. This card doesn't fit into the current mid range Abyss, because it's too expensive and your only real winning line in the midrange abyss is early cheap damage+ double grave + Cerberus, so if you're setting up this play in particular you won't even have enough board space for Ginsetsu to work. I also don't understand why all classes except abyss have their cheesy half hp finishers from no board presence, while for abyss you need to waste turns setting up your play. It's too fair for a game with so many overpowered and unbalanced cards.

Remaining legendaries will likely be related to blood, or bats, leaning into aggro playstyle, therefore would also find no place in the midrange or control. But the thing is, what would even be the point playing mediocre rng dependent aggro abyss deck, when dragon aggro exist

This is the original Ginsetsu for reference.
The foxes originally gave her +2/+0 on LW, not +1/+0.
Also, we had Shuten-Doji, which gave you a crest that gives Storm to all of your followers with base 1 attack.
So she would drop down on turn 9, summon a full board of foxes with drain and rush, they would trade 8 damage into the opponent's board, heal you for 8, buff Ginsetsu for 8 and then Ginsetsu would storm the opponent for 9.

It seems like it was mostly designed for control (strong late game play when both sides are out of sevos), but rally itself is mostly a midrange mechanic, it doesn't work all that well with reactive high value cards control likes to play. So aggro decks will dominate this meta thanks to Odin.

The number of people that get annoyed by Amalia, then proceed to write off Gintetsu is crazy. Gintetsu looks crazy good if the game stays at its current pace. This is enough for lethal if you have enough evo points. He will also be removing a follower every time he's summoned so he clears any SEVO follower while still going face.
And ideally you should have been going face during the game so 2 Odins in a row will often be enough to win the game as there isn't much your opponent can do to stop the 14 face damage.

I think a lot of people don’t understand Abyss and how the new card is really good. Like Abyss is one of those decks where you get to the point where you just throw stuff on the table mega late game. That’s why a lot of lists ran Cocy but he’s pretty bad unless you have 20+ mana a turn or work with. Like right now Medusa and the new card are basically free board clears and one heals. You have to kill before turn 7 or they start annoying you with these really high defense cards that need an evolution to answer while you retain yours.

Abyss has such an easy time answering threats without evo and plopping down shit that needs to get answered with evos. I think that new card will be decent in control. You already have Medusa who can clear 3/5ths of a board and has to get answered like she's a super evo herself. The BPs are $8 and give you an alternate costume, 4 weapon skins, 2bgms, and a couple dozen UI cosmetics and chat stickers. When SF6 charges $15 for shitty Ninja Turtle halloween costumes you can't even use in vs mode.
