I think it's also important to note that we didn't receive any QoL around any currency specifically. They implemented a lot of buffs and other QoL from newer versions of CN but only if they didn't benefit us in terms of currency acquisition. This was just the latest currency change in a long list of them which is why people are mad.
No one is disputing that we've had additional QoL earlier than CN. But across the board, when it comes to currency, they've made changes to make sure we get less sooner, either completely removed, or backloading a lot of the crystals.
That combined with the rapid fire banner rate is inevitably going to make the game worse off than any kind of overall standard character buff through dupes.

She can be pulled (or obtained entirely for free, 3 different times: 1 selector in the Beginner Banner and 2 in the Plans rewards) and used.
She's a P5 character added to P5X because P5X is a P5 spinoff when all is said and done, so they had to have the original PT in some shape.
They added them as a part of a collab event where P5X's own PT meet P5's through the metaverse, when they all accidentally end up thrown into a copy of Kamoshida's Palace that has aspects of Kiuchi's Palace, Kiuchi being the 1st palace ruler of P5X's story.
Those of us who are playing the game are playing it because we either like the new characters to varying degres, or because we already play P5 enough times and we just want a new way to experience it.
