Sure if your only goal is to win URA runs and you're content with making B-rank umas at best then you won't need Kitasan at all but if you actually love your umas you will want to produce the best version of them as possible with the means you have.
As a F2P on JP I was able to make A+ Umas that could take down S umas during Champions Meeting PVP events and a huge part of that was thanks to Kitasan. Even if you don't high roll an A+ run you will produce A rank umas on average with MLB Kitasan borrow which is a big step up from the average player now only making B-B+ rank umas.

Playing this game has made me realize how cruel and immoral horse racing is. It's fucked up that they take these horses and force them to risk injuries that, due to their physiology, they can't recover from and have to be euthanized.
The only way to ethically do horse racing is to start genetically modifying horses until they have bodies more like humans so they can recover from broken legs.
