I just re-read the lore, and it seems to go back as far as 1965, give or take. According to the internet, the first VHS tape in America dates to around 1977. I'm no porn historian, but I’d assume VHS porn would’ve become available pretty quickly after that—maybe within a year or so. It’s also possible it was Japanese porn originally. flicks are super simple now, nothing special involved. it's kinda like any other game. you use your charge and good pathing to get in swing range of a survivor, then you swing and turn (flick) to actually strike them.
there used to be a harsh turn rate penalty and a turn speed cap and proper flicking was a tech (exploit), but now his demon strike just uses normal mouselook so you just turn and hit.
the speed in which you want to turn to hit them is contextual, like in some instances you might want to slightly delay turning so you don't bonk on shit.
basically, you just gotta practice. and practice means going for it over and over and over again. charge at survivors, get in striking distance, turn to hit them. simple as

I feel like majority of maps should undergo some sort of rework where there are more bushes and areas are overall darker so that both Trapper and tactical Stealth becomes relevant again. I get so much value from Plot Twist on Red Forest maps for example.

I was if I say so myself a really good billy who was great at curving. often I didn't even need bring perks as a kind of challenge to myself but also to show off. when I do bring perks, they're just bamboozle and lightborn and literally whatever. I chase whoever I see but let people off if they've been hooked recently, I go for 12 hooks generally. hearing this it must sound as if the problem was that I was getting put with low mmr survivors and now I'm being put with high mmr survivors, but seriously no, I was most often put with PC players with high prestige levels who were really good and often praised me postgame. but I tried to do all the tome challegnes recently, which left me playing solely survivor for about a month or two. it's been a long while since I played killer, but I come back, and now I'm eating complete fucking shit.

Even putting mechanics and balance aside the lack of killer variety and half the maps in the game being complete garbage is a massive issue. Matchmaking is bad and even in the softcap MMR you're going to be getting a mix of "baby" survivors and hardcore players but even the hardcore can't make up for people who go down in 15 seconds or don't do gens. after they removed this bullshit (surfing, hugs) it's pretty straight forward. use the environment and be clever with pathing (so-called bump logic) to force pallets or get hits. it's also really easy to get hits in between pallets as well. some tiles your power is useless, get the pallet down quickly and then go from there.
it's easiest to hit a survivor by getting close to them, turning vaguely towards them, and hitting m1. he's got a very wide short lived semi-circle hitbox at the start of his attack that basically makes it impossible for survivors to juke a hit when you get directly on them.
for hits around bends, flick your camera before swinging, and then continue turning through the swing to maximize the amount of curvature. in general it's good to know that when you swing you instantly redirect your momentum in the direction you're looking.

I got stuck in a game where 2 survivors kept just harassing 1 survivor, slugging them, fake unhooking (they didnt seem to know that the third one always just unhooks now) and not playing. I tried to do gens to at least progress the game but they just started doing it to me too and refusing to hook so I could at least just get out of the game. I'm able to chase down survivors and put them on hooks, but they keep completing generators while I'm doing it and every match basically ends with all of them escaping or leaving one of them behind and finishing everything before I can catch them.

I only have the default killers and the Singularity unlocked, should I pick a different killer or stick with the robot? Is it normal to only get a survivor or two each game? Maybe I have high expectations of being able to take down the entire team more frequently?

I've noticed that, I always try to pick on one guy first. The sooner you get the survivors down to three, the easier the game gets. Sometimes I'll even hang nearby a hook and try and down them as soon as they get rescued just to try and drop another life.

The only good thing about the generators is that when I get down to three left, it gets easier to protect them. Two biopods spread far apart watching over a generator means I'll always know and have a good chance of teleporting to them if they're being repaired just because they can't EMP both or the time it takes is prohibitively long.

safe pallets you can't (or are very hard to) mindgame by definition. you have to just kick those
unsafe pallets (many kinds of fillers) are mindgameable, but the risk is that if you can't get a good read on the survivor or they have your number you're going to waste way more time than if you just kicked it and moved on
just gotta use your judgement. some killers excel at eating pallets, some excel at playing pallets, which factors into it.
at any pallet though, you might want to delay kicking the pallet to ensure the survivor will be zoned to a corner/deadzone/away from strong setups when you kick it, done by just running around the loop so they're on the "weak side" when you kick it
an important thing to note about eating pallets is that if you're not running enduring you should avoid getting stunned. not at all costs though, as good survivors will recognize your pallet respect (or pallet worship in extreme cases) and punish by just continuing to run the loop, mixing it up as they feel fit. it's important to sometimes pure disrespect pallets and W through them just to remind survivors you have that option, which will get you stunned at times and free hits at others, but gives you the space to respect pallets either way

I always saw Jaws as a fin that pokes out of the ground, but instead of water, it's entity fog that foams around his fin as if he's traversing darkness. For his M1 he pops out of the ground for a bite. For his vaults he actually goes under them. For his drops, he just cascades down like a majestic beast before splashing back into the ground. For his M2 his fin just disappears underground compeltely, gains super movement speed, there's a say 2 second moment of suspense where the survivor has no idea where he is, then he pops out of the ground for an instant down chomp. He would be like a cross between Bubba and Spirit in this sense. During this movement, he can go under vaults and pallets, can't see scratch marks or blood, and relies entirely on audio. There could be a marker where he's about to strike say 0.3 seconds or some barely but possibly reactable time before he leaps out.When he grabs and carries survivors, he actually drags them underwater and travels with them in that way, can't be bodyblocked, only a brief window to flashlight stun him, and he just tosses them up onto hooks out of the ground. With all this said there could be like a pool of shadowy water in a small radius around him everywhere he goes to make him look a bit more natural in his environment and destroy Switch players FPS.

The more I use Clean Break, the more I love it. Making real and critical use of it comes from knowing when to use it. Just because you can use it, doesn't mean you should. But using it next to a generator is super efficient, or when the killer is approaching that's obviously good too. The only real problem with it is that when it would be most efficient to use, the other survivors won't heal you because as far as they're concerned you want to spend 10 seconds being healed instead of finishing the gen, which can be frustrating. Some changes I would make:
1) Allow you to use Clean Break for say 3 seconds after a healing action on you was cancelled. This allows you to use it to finish an interrupted job (say by the killer approaching), but with a solo team mate who let go because you can't coordinate this with him.
2) Make the healing action just a bit quicker. I understand the trade-off but even still, it still takes a bit too long. I would say make it about 30% quicker.
3) Show a little Clean Break Buff icon on other people's screens when you're near them and have Clean Break read to use and are Injured. This just lets them know the benefit of tapping you for 1 second and make them more likely to do it when it would otherwise be a waste of time.
