So Skaal in a snowy wasteland but they have level 50 guards in mystical armor (albeit ostensably level-appropriate for both of Morrowind's expansion). I just use one unless they're custom followers that have dialogue with each other. 3 isn't just crowded, it starts to throw off the entire balance of the game. You have to crank up the difficulty to the point that your character couldn't take fights on their own if they wanted to. Or the followers have to be so weak that they're just visual noise.

It might be more viable on unleveled playthroughs because you can bring everything you've got to a fight instead of just leveling up like a normal person.
