There's only 6 main currencies.

Enkephalin modules are used for Mirror Dungeon and story dungeons.

Boxes are just extra Enkephalin to convert to boxes or use in story mode.

Exp tickets are for leveling up Sinners.

Thread is used for uptying and E.G.O spinning.

E.G.O shards are used to buy Sinner's and E.G.O through the Dispenser, or to Uptie IDs and threadspin E.G.O to tier IV and above.

Lunacy can be used to buy more Enkephalin refills or pull for IDs in the Gacha/extraction.

Paid Lunacy can be used for buying things straight up from the dispenser. But it's like 20 bucks if you do that. Only whales do that. PM itself doesn't really recommend doing that either. They want you to dispense or pull for it because if not, what's the point?

Walpurgisnacht is an event that happens every 3-6 months(?) and has IDs and E.G.O and announcers based off the prequels (Lobotomy Corporation, Library of Ruins) characters and Abnormalities.
You can only pull for stuff from Walpurgisnacht when Walpurgisnacht is active, otherwise it is locked until the next one arrives.
You can only dispense stuff from the previous Walpurgisnacht when the next one arrives.

The only stuff that can be missed is from collabs.
We are going to have our first Collab with Arknights later in the year. 4. E.G.Os.

E.G.O is practically, ultimate attacks skills that can be used mid-battle to replace your current one and win clashes, you can use E.G.O as long as you build up the resources in-battle to spend them. E.G.O applies permanent passives per-battle/Sinner once you use it.

There's only 12 different playable characters, you pull for variations of them. You can't have more than one ID of the same Sinner in-battle.

There's 5 different slots for E.G.O. they are based off the Risk Levels from abnormalities. ZAYIN, TETH, HE, WAW and ALEPH. So, 1 to 5 basically. Of course. Higher risk level, higher payoff, but costs more E.G.O resources at battle.

Abnormalities are basically SCPs. But they are immortal, once they get killed, they turn into an indestructible egg that will rebirth later into the same grown up monster. They don't think, they don't understand human logic. They have no reason to exist, they just do. They have conditionals that if you fuck them up, they screw you mid-battle. like freeze, lose resources, summon minions or even instakill your Sinners in some cases.

Distortions are people that had a mind break and turn into monsters, they can be killed.

If a distortion doesn't die for a very long time and neither undistorts back into a human. They turn into an abnormality.

The first 4 risk levels are manageable... Sorta. For fights.

We... Have not seen any ALEPH abnormalities, distortions or E.G.O in this game... Yet. We are not thrilled about their return either. They fuck. They fuck hard. And they fuck you.

A WAW (risk level 4) distortion going HAM caused the prequel of the game to happen.

Tldr; it killed thousands of people in a single sweep. Didn't even touch them.
Now, after hearing that. I want you to picture what the ALEPHs even do or are to be riskier than WAWs.

Take it slowly. And please. Stick to a gimmick. Charge, rupture, burn, whatever. Stick to one, build your team around it and then when you have a solid team, make more teams. And acquire E.G.O that synergizes well with the IDs.

We will apparently receive a skin system that lets us use ID looks onto other IDs. We don't know when, but the studio is working on it since last year I think. So, yeah, there's an incentive to get more IDs even if you dislike their gimmicks. You can just plaster their looks over your not so good looking IS that is actually useful. But that's for the future.

Ah, the 3 charges on Thread. My bad. I forgot that was even there honestly. Makes sense. My current highest is the 3rd one (8 total for 2 modules), which is equivalent to 20 Thread for 5 Modules, compared to 6 (18 with Pass) I'd get from spending that on a MD instead and then converting. Mirror Dungeon Hard gives more BP and manager EXP but can only be challenged once you beat the latest story chapter/Canto.

Refraction Railway is a very hard gamemode. You go through a gauntlet of fights with no rest in-between of them. The rewards are practically a second BP worth of resources. But only if you do it all in less than 100 turns.
The abno at the end of the RR is usually some batshit insane WAW that uses a status effect to fuck you up or buff itself to hell and back.
This gamemode is explicitly for players that want a challenge and have been grinding and upgrading their IDs and making solid teams for a while... So, endgame content... Well, more like end-of-season content.
Can only be fought if you reach the end of the latest Canto.

Allegedly, we will get more gamemodes in the future. Director hinted at something like a board game/dice game mode. We have no clue how it will play out or if it will even get implemented at all.

El Director has said it before but... it's okay to take breaks from this game. Or at least just do the three dailies and fuck off (make an Enkephalin module, EXP and Thread luxcavation once, collect BP missions and log off), we still recommend doing the 3 MD runs for the 750 free lunacy per week.
Every week or two, we get compensation Lunacy for maintenance... It's not much, but it helps for like a week of first Enkephalin refills without hurting your 750 gain per week from MD runs.

That's it.

Take is as fast or slow as you want.

It's borderline impossible for bricking to happen. The only reason they made a gacha was to avoid bankruptcy if the game had not been a gacha and had neither been a hit game.

usually people run burn or rupture aiming for hell chicken on floor 2, because you can get the drumsticks event (2xIII gifts) and the tango marinade (III)

Just try to find the easiest route to floor 5.
Do 3 runs per week and that's it.
I don't recommend grinding for E.G.O until you have at least a full team of Sinners that support each other and can do the MD in an hour or way less per run. Instead, aim for a team of what you want. But it should hit hard, and fast.
Sinking is busted for story mode. Negative SP fucks everything and gives gloom damage at negative SP (-45). But isn't as fast as Rupture or Burn for MD unless you get a really specific combination of gifts that Sinking users already know how to beeline for.

My favorite strat is probably using Heasu's binds corrosion to make it so him, Greg, and Yi Sang go last so that Faust and Ish are guaranteed to go first and apply their fragile and although he mentions that he isn't sure if it's a bug or not since he does make use of the fact that sinners go in the order you select the attacks when they all tie on speed but I'm pretty sure that's not a bug.
I didn't know that Hong Lu's lasso applies rupture in the same way as Yi Sang's bygone days, so it benefits immensely from plus 1 rupture effects, which is what he uses WMeursault's passive for.

The fact that this run beats the 20 turns one that was illegal (by using the fact they never finished the run, so the clear was still there of 8 turns on section 1 while using pre nerf talisman) is great because that Chinese guy was gloating about having an unbeatable 20 turns.
