Hyacine is the most well rounded sustain ever. HP scaling, increases team's HP to help sustain, super fast so she can easily heal or generate SP, cleanses with skill and Ult, and can easily get 100% eff res. E1 can further help sustain.
These 2 are the best characters to get and getting them and their e1 is perfectly obtainable if you skip the other bricks.

And this is where I address, the game is great for a casual which is nice when you’re grinding your ass off in real life but fucking terrible once you have a developed end game account because the gameplay is actually kind of garbage. In AK you you can base your strategy around a few select ops but there’s an insane amount of gameplay and planning and options that keep everything fresh, here all 3 end game modes are just damage races with only characters in play at a time and an 8 total limit. HSR could improve dramatically by moving away from damage race bullshit and having larger team/roster requirements. Imagine instead of just running your cas/rmc/3b/hyc team you had to actually way the value of everything due to multiple teams. The tricycle alone is worth cycling out since it will make any subpar team viable and RM, Gallagher now is a solid option but oh wait you might want to RM for a cheap SB FF team (or Gallagher or hmc for that matter) and Gallagher with some gear changes just fits any fucking where. The entire game needs way more modes and depth and it wouldn’t even be hard to do.

Now that I’m getting more free time I’m really missing AK. The stage and boss mechanics every fucking event were unique and fun enough and often let you pull out otherwise non meta shit just to have fun with. I even remember goofing with a slightly creative use of fucking siege for a relatively high cc clear. The only thing that sucked was once again that even though it was a great game it had a high time investment for mundane shit but I just wanted to use it as an example for just how much more engaging things can be when you simply broaden the scope of a game. The gameplay of AK shines in that you are simply given such a huge playing field to use your character with whereas HSR is very very narrow, even more narrow than fg fucking o which quickly became LOOP and lost all appeal.

I'm sick of this game company reusing assets, they couldn't even make an exception for the collab.

You know unlike a lot of people here I have been generally enjoying Amphoreus. It is exactly the kind of epic ongoing saga that I wanted them to do the story, instead of "three patches, conflict is resolved, goodnight y'all".

But in retrospect I do kind of wish they had that idea a year earlier and had done it for Penacony. There was just so much cool stuff in the Penacony arc, interesting setting (which we barely scratched the surface of), a bunch of rival factions competing that had previously been introduced in the lore, the ability to introduce characters from all over the universe instead of them all having to be native to the planet like Amphoreus, and of course the fact that it was actually sci-fi instead of this "fantasy with hints of sci-fi" that Amphoreus has been doing. And yet they wrapped it up too quickly. Sure we do get these occasional "what happens next" stories which are nice in their own way since it's rare for RPGs to do that. But it makes me feel regret for what could have been. It also didn't help that the monkey story fucking sucked and was a waste of a patch, but that's a different discussion for another day.

I don't miss AK exactly because if you don't roll the china numbah wan bikini waifu you'd have to "have fun" by either timing entire squad of auto-attacking units down to *mili*seconds (hence the pause hack), tackle a stage your own way for hours on end, or both.
Sure I had fun but if I had to rot on my bed glued to my phone for 3 hours to have it, I have better games to play on my PC.

Archer does not work well with anyone using skill points dude. That's his entire stick. If they change her to not use any SP, THEN she's interesting. But more interesting than cat in that slot? I'm not sure. Hard to kick Sparkle, due to her kick mode being by far the most SP shitting you can have.

Do not underestimate the Archer slurp. She'd need to copy more than 1 skill instance to actually be good with him.
