Any consolefags here? I used to use the claw grip when I was a kid playing gears of war 2 before I switched to PC gaming for a decade. Recently got back into console gaming and have gone to the default normie causal 'standard' grip(index resting on triggers, moves to push bumpers). Recently I've been looking to get back into claw grip again like I used to do when playing gears 2(and I was actually good). I'm an hour into hybrid grip training(index on bumpers middle on triggers) and this shit is a night and day difference. I have so much more control and pushing buttons just feels natural and is a lot quicker. Doing this till my index finger gets it's old flexibility back so I can get back into claw and actually use right stick + face buttons at the same time. I feel like standard grip was holding me back massively.

When playing The Thing what should my positioning be like? I really hate how the The Thing feels like fucking paper and how I have to be afraid of so much shit. I have to be careful when fighting against fucking Emma Frost because I can be choked for some reason. I think his earthbind ability is very useful because has some really janky interactions. Like it knocking up enemies far enough outside of the earth bind range that they can use their dashes. I have definitely "Caught" black panthers but the pop up knocked them up high enough that they dash anyway. I am glad they gave the thing some mobility though towards enemies. It just feels so weird to play him because you don't feel tanky at all. In fact, I think the only tank that actually feels durable is probably Venom and / or Peni when standing on webs and shit.

Duelist mechanically works better, but Strategist is thematically more fitting. A hybrid similar to Reed is probably best. So a Duelist that can also support his team, but not through healing.

Probably something like a passive that when he uses skills he gains stacks of speed, which increases move and attackspeed, plus boosts abilities, but is lost over time.

The continuity really was clear before this. lines like. Krakoa happened long after mariko died in 616, and these lines are all to to specific to 616 logan in the krakoa era. the game could just be playing loose with continuity or making it's own straight up, but i doubt that given how reliant it is on comic cannon given all the references in dialouge. If you're playing a thief or rogue, you should feel like you're playing as one. Hence stealing, stealth, being tricky, etc. are things to aim for, not being some super durable brawler.

Loki is a good example of a hero kit they succeeded with. It feels pretty close to what you'd want to do when playing Loki (being a trickster and shapeshifting) while ALSO being a pretty well designed kit.

Ultron's kit doesn't make you feel like Ultron, nor is it a well designed kit. It's the worst of both worlds.
