Spicy take: Cod devs need to stop designing maps for all objective modes at once. There should be dedicated Hardpoint maps, dedicated Dom maps, and dedicated Search maps. There are some good moments here and there that hint towards a new direction for Modern Warfare. Not-ISIS faction, Intense torture sequence, grounded locations such as a big house at night or London Piccadilly.

But most of it falls flat and there's a reason why nobody talks about Farah and Alex despite the campaign being centered around them. The "Going Dark" mission will always be talked about because it's the only mission that tried something new with extreme polish and level of detail, but it was stuck in a mediocre campaign with a story less engaging than IW's previous game: Infinite Warfare.

Its not just a "simple change". For someone who cares about atmosphere it's a big deal. Having more than 2 announcers, each one with their own dedicated lines and even references in their own language was cool as hell. i feel like omni-movement is totally unnecessary too, its a gimmick. the body changing positions when you're in prone is something that should stay though, diving in multiple directions is fine too, but i dont care for being able to run in all directions all that much. people only run forward anyway, and if they want to turn, theyll turn their camera to start running in another direction, it feels faster that way anyway.

i know exactly what they're going to do with omni-movement too, my bet is that they'll make it a perk instead in future games, similar to how you had to stim to heal in BO4, then they turned it into an equipment item in later cods

The hero aspect did kind of suck, but I think it's supposed to be for people who actually play as teams, which is something CoD kids don't grasp because everyone is only concerned about themselves and whatever grind or goal they're on as an individual. BO6 has more colors but it depends on the maps. Dealership is washed out, Fringe is colorful and so on. I actually miss how the beta had 0 color like a Modern Warfare game, Scud looked depressing but Derelict was a bit more balanced.

No because:
1. Their games have always been generic. Advanced Warfare exo stuff didn't stand out but in their defense, BO3 and IW were too similar. Don't get me started on WW2 and Vanguard
2. Their idea of interesting branching out of modern warfare are JAK 3D printed weapons, someone out there probably loves them but it ain't me
3. There's not much you can do in current day warfare. They could go the milita 3rd world countries route but the guns will just be AKs and such. Not very different from what is presented in Black Ops let alone Modern Warfare.

All in all if you think everything XclusiveAce says is correct then you'll at least enjoy playing their game because they've always been cowards without a real vision for the gameplay.

People will bitch about abusing the Blast Trap, but if I didn't, there's no real guarantee I could challenge certain areas because most fights are a dice roll.
