Nah it could be the lack of rng. If you don’t get any strong dps relics and say you don’t end up getting Loen, your Levia/Eclipse/etc are gonna struggle to even kill a single 3x3 let alone cover the entire map - summon tanked targets.

It’s just that in comparison to physical, magic has better aoe coverage especially with Loen, has Morpeah (physical can use her too but can’t make her summons turn into nukes) and has SP issues which hurts because those gemstones that give +3 sp per turn for 10000k gold either doesn’t work on turn 1 or is bugged half the time, so relatively speaking magic is way easier.

But for the average player and maybe even whales I don’t believe you can guarantee a floor 10 run regardless of rng just by whaling. It hasn’t reached that point and rng alone allows costume and relic options to fuck you hard.

Best example is not coming across a single crit chance related relic/costume. When that happens I don’t care how much money you spent, you are not clearing floor 10 unless you happen to never fight a stage with >2 enemies and have Morpeah.
