The standard VRChat expression parameters inspector window shows the number of synced bits used but if you are using MA or VRCFury you will have to fully bake your avatar first to combine all the pieces into a single object. If you are tight on bits you should delete the default vrchat parameters, I think it uses 24 bits and does nothing.

Personally I have had good experiences with the VRCFury parameter compressor and use it on every avatar, you have significant control over what gets compressed if you want precise control over latency.

Int and float parameters are candidates for compression only if they appear in a menu item, so it won't fuck face tracking or similar. Ints and floats will not be compressed if they are part of a 2 or 4 axis puppet, or if they are touched by an add state behavior anywhere in your controller. (I add dummy states with add zero to mark non-compressed parameters.)

You misunderstand VR in general though. VR is still very young, the internet took decades to evolve to the point where it was generally useful and VR will be no different. It will be awhile before VR games are figured out in terms of UI and gameplay loop that can meaningfully compete with flat games which have been evolving for decades. VRchat is a good proving game for testing things like UI, gameplay maps optimization, and even things you can and can't do with player avatars. VRchat is a great platform for getting people used to VR and a good testing bed for ideas.

All of the ultralight headsets besides Bigscreen feel like they're oriented towards what's basically AR use (like what Apple is doing), and while you can jump through hoops to use them with a PC, I don't really think they'll really bring a lot of new people into VR in the sense you're probably thinking of.

Rifles and SMGs are pretty forgiving and easy to reload. The p90 on one of the sides (I forget which) gets a free red dot which helps a bit too until you're used to ironsights. The best newfag tip though is that map knowledge is secondary to having any shooting skill. If you don't already have hundreds of hours in CS maps, use your dead time to learn the angles and how good players move through them.

Well that's not exactly difficult when /vrlg/'s only event aside from the usual sex instances posted multiple times a week is speed mating. Which is just an off-shoot of Friend by Friend with comparable attendance.
Aside from events my understanding is that TT has higher attendance than LOCO or UNFF but that could be an NA v EU numbers thing.
In any case our events don't actually require much investment in the community. To many it's just an instance in a few week's time where you just throw on a themed outfit. You don't need to really browse the thread to know of them or to join them.

In vrc there's no trouble finding a niche or activity but finding someone to play vr games instead of being in vrc is basically impossible. Been having some pretty bad crashing issues with SteamVR via Virtual Desktop for a little while now. Disabling HAGS on Windows fixed it. I've been able to pretty significantly loosen my safety settings after this change too.
