Sadly no. It starts out pretty strong with a lot of potential in keeping the S1 cast relevant, but it's super rushed and Bastion and Alexis both get sidelined to shit again. The transfer students are all quickly beaten and then disappear from the story, and the final big bad is barely there. The only thing decent about it is that Chazz gets the respect he didn't get in the anime, albeit at the cost of essentially being a different character entirely.

The only good thing the GX manga has is the monster designs, everything else is just bland
