Well no, they went at the GDD with full power, using the strongest force in Millennium to stop them, which WAS the test. They figured that only if they hit them with everything, they could then use that as proof that Alice really was a super robot who was capable of that much. They weren't going easy at all, they were using the strongest forces possible, way more than what you would use for a standard raid like this. Also Himari and Rio with all their dumb math, it was proven in the end that neither of them could calculate the infinite human potential, which is why Rio badly lost to those same "stupid gamers and engineers" later on, she couldn't actually calculate their potential even with her dumb future math.
