You should work on the skill potential nodes for supports first. Buff values, range extensions, that stuff. Flat % increases for DPS add less.

Phys usually favors chains, it's like Refi/Liberta/Chainer + 2 others for endgame stuff. Lathel is interchangeable, some fights you use him some not.

Sorta but you ditch Elpis for Diana and usually take an amplifier (Levia) over 2 DPS. Taking as many different buff types as possible is >>> just stacking more of the same buff (like Elpis+Helena).

I'd finish the character packs and collect your pulls so you can get Sacred Justia, she does work in every single fiend hunt (even off-element) which makes her a great value unit.
Rest is maxing out important supports like Diana/Helena and working on dupes for good units like Loen, NHNebris, Liatriss, Venaka and every support.

Justi's banner is coming up so if you do those character packs you'll have a good few rolls to burn. She doesn't replace dedicated elemental DPS, but she can help you a lot in Fiend Hunts until you have a more developed and fleshed out roster with other element-specific DPS like Loen, Nebris (aside from being very good in Dark hunts).
Levia hits 4 times, and Teresse's bonus damage applies to the first 5 chains. Using her and then following with a single-hit nuke (which most mages are) means you get the bonus damage on all hits.

It all depends on the content. As it stands. Celia is the best chainer in game with 9 tile coverage. Only with her limited Bunny costume. Arines is replaced by Liberta when Liberta is heavily invested at +3. Red Riding Rou is pvp mainly. Some bosses offer crit damage buffs or property damage buffs. So people change their teams accordingly. If you ever run a chain team for fiend hunt or guild raid for example, Celia is on both magic and physical teams she's that good a chainer. Focus on supports first, Diana, Liberta, Helena and Teresse. They are brilliant at what they do.

Helena, Track Levia, Gamer Rafina, Homonculus Lathel, Zenith, Medical Teresse, Diana, Liberta and Elpis/Arines for newplayers. Limited Teresse on rateup is exceptionally good, but she has another banner coming soon. So don't worry to much at the moment. Schera does have plenty of costumes with quite a lot of use. So you can't go wrong with her. She's more geared towards pvp, but is really reliable in tower content and story content.

There are too little contents that are comfortable with sub-5 chains. FH buffs chains a lot of times and gives 100% crit rate after 3 chains, roguelike has way better chain-dependent relics than sub-5 ones, guild raid Lancelot energy builds way faster the more chains you use.

No, they used to run 2-week events that were told on the maps themselves (chibi). The problem was that they had a very limited pool to work with (basically just an event per character pack) so they only had like 6 stories to recycle over and over.

After the VN-style change last December they've changed to one per month, told in two parts. They need to update the old events to the VN style first and create expression animations for the characters first, like they did with the recent summer knight event.
